get your yellow pages out, look up beurepares, tyre power, goodyear etc etc and ask them if they have nay lying around that they want to get rid of.
Thanks. Seems obvious! I assumed they only have car tyres...worth a call!
Or cavpower
Yea they will give them to you for free because they have to pay to scrap them. I got mine from a local beurepares in sydney.
Dress like a ninja and go around to a roadworks area after dark ;)
you will need a big jack and a shitload of bricks.

Or foget the jack and just take Big Timmy with you.
You may also be able to check out agricultural machinery dealers (companies that sell tractors) - they might have some old ones out the back.
I managed to find a tractor tyre, although it may be a little light. Any suggestions on how to add weight to it?
line the inside of it woth something
hahahaha! :)
bang some long nails in from the outside towards the inside, so there's a fair amount of nail protruding on the inside. Then get a bit of concrete, and pour it in the centre of the tyre. The concrete will bond around the nails and that will help stop it falling out.
Obviously, you'll need to do it several times and rotate the tyre to get a somewhat even distribution of concrete around the entire circumference.
Or just get a bigger tyre, I am sure it didn't cost you anything.
