    What do you do?

What do you do when you miss a training day, maybe due to illness or minor injury, or just impossible due to 'life'

combine it with another day? or just get back to that group, eg legs next week?

    cheers

I missed the gym today because of the long weekend in Vic. I'll just start my routine for this week tomorrow and then have one less day rest over the weekend before getting back to normal next week.

btw I'm doing full body workouts atm so if I did miss a day I wouldn't miss training a muscle group that week. If I was split training and had to miss a day I'd prob drop biceps and triceps as these get worked to a degree on back and chest day.

I prioritize the big muscles. Legs, back before anything else. Then shoulders triceps, biceps last.
So it all depends on where im at. Or ill squeeze it in somewhere

I get over it and move on.

It does warrant more concern if this one day missed happens every week, or more often than not.

Doing a 2 days split twice a week - a couple of weeks back I missed a day and swam on the 2nd day instead (was swimming 4 times per week prior to starting gym workouts). Freshened me up so will probably do that every few weeks.

I prioritise my efforts. If I miss a day I will re-structure the rest of the week to hit my goals for running, cycling, etc and miss a weights session.

(Can't believe I admitted that here.)

I make it up somewhere else, even if it means I have to group weight sessions that i'd otherwise do separate. Or slightly modify

If i miss a training session I just make sure its not something im lacking, ie trade it in with a bodypart your happy with.
