Thread: The best & most potent tribulas?

So it's not so much the TOTAL mg per tribulas capsule or tablet but the PERCENTAGE of saponins within that TOTAL mg.

So far, the most potent i have come across would be the Now brand.

45% of its 1000mg dose comes to 450mg.

A close second, the MRM Tribest 750 brand with 45% saponins also of its 750mg dose comes to 337.5mg.

Yes, an impressive 12,500mg of total tribulas per serve but only 100mg of that are saponins!
Isn't that less than 1% of saponins?

Tried to find out Muscle Liqiud's saponin percentage, but couldn't find it.
This would be interesting given its popularity also.

It's worth noting, the NOW brand is suitable for vegetarians as it is vege caps not gelatin. The MRM is gelatin based.

mate, you didn't include the one i use:

1Fast400 Tribulus Terrestris Powder (60%)

60% Furostanolic Steroidal Saponin content.

100g x 60% = 60g of saponin's for $11.99 US.

When i use it i take 1.5g (1500mg for the mathematically impaired) of saponin's a day so that tub lasts me 40 days.

For US$11.99 (or lets say AUD$17) I dont think that can be beaten.

I use NOW Foods for heaps of products.. Maybe 5 or 6 different ones?? But the 1fast400 Trib kicks its ass

So just to compare it to the Now foods, is it correct that 1000mg of that powder has 60% saponins so there for 600mg are saponins?

Also, how do you measure it?

thats right mate.
i cap 50 at a time.

Weigh the 50 empty caps, then fill them using a capping machine. Weight the 50 after. A - B is the weight of the trib. divide by 50 for each cap then multiply by 60% for the saponin.

Lets say 50 empty caps = 10g
then say 50 full caps = 35g

so theres 25g of trib powder x 60% = 15g of saponins. / 50 = 300mg of saponins a cap

i can get about 500mg of powder in each 00 cap so thats about 300mg of saponins. Hence i take 5 caps a day.

Simple!

Although a 150mg differance in total saponin mg's per serve, the Now Food's is still pretty massive and not much of a price differance plus the conveniance of them already coming in tablet form.

This is most probably the reson why trib works for some and not for others.
I've also been recommending NOW trib as the best, well i guess people will listen now.
funny thing though i've looked up reviews for now and everyone has said they were great but the reviews on the fast1400 were really bad many people didn't like this product wich turned me off.

@raaqi most powders you buy off ebay and from other places state the Saponin content.

That's for 3 tablets, so 900mg divded by 3 = 300mg for 1 tab.
Not the most potent in this thread, but up there.

Wouldn't of been such a bad tribulas product if it could have been competitive in price against the Now and 1fast brand or even the MRM brand seeing as the saponin % is in the 300mg zone like MRM's tribulas.

Yeah I'm considering buying some now Tribulus 2 be honuest.

I've tried Bronx Wild Bull Tribulus a few years ago and Body Science Triandrobol as well and I did'nt mind them.

So if now is a better and more potent product sounds pretty good to me I'm having a look on iherb.com now.
