I tried a about 3 single serving sample packs that i was given as a freebie once. Ok product, pumps were moderate for me, but i dont typically get that much of a pump myself. energy n all was also ok. Better things to try out there imo. I also got some samples of Nano Vapor (muscletech) once and that shit was actually surprisingly kinda cool and i liked it. (notice how i never actually went out and bought a whole tub of the stuff though?)

In the end i think these powders have varying effects for each individual. If you have the cash to burn and dont care if you possibly get a lemon, then what the hell, give it a try. If you dont like it you may be able to sell it onto someone else anyhow.

If you do get it, mabey post a review on this thread about how it goes for you aswell :)

Nice post x-tremist. true to the enth degree.

I see reviews still getting made judging a pre-workout supp by the 'pump' and 'wake-up' that is recieved
The pre-workout supp industry have this lot by the balls!

Pre/during workout supps should be judged by the ingredients in the product.

PS - "the mind" will not send nutrients to the muscle bellies when they need it most. Fair comment if all you were buying a pre/during workout supp for was to get some kind of 'mind focus' for your workout - which i guess is what people are buying them for...save your cash, have a shot of coffee if this is all your reviews are for in judging a pre-workout supp.

Fair point MO. But i think "pre-workout" supps these days have evolved to have a different intended effect than perhaps what they should be used for (nutrient transport like you said) the average kid these days just wants a powder that will make them, ahem ""a beast in the weights room", and either dont care or are grossly under educated about the benefits/superiority of the avenue you never fail to offer up as an alternative to the standard caffeine jolt (and i applaude you for that).

But what you suggest, whilst overall being more effective and better for you, it is not what most people would consider a 'pre-workout' supp in the modern sense of the word. Just look at the labels and marketing in the current pre workout industry. Almost all products claim "increased pump, endurance, energy and focus.". Lol, its more for those serious lifters who really do care about the end results.

Mabey we need a new supplement catergory?

You couldn't have summed up better my point. People buying spending hundreds on something to 'give them a boost'.
For example, arginine for it's 'pump'. How about what arginine ACTUALLY does?

Think about it, you're buying a product that costs more than kilos of whey powder at times for only a gram or a kg, just to get a pump during a workout and abit of a wake me up?
    We're doomed!
Reviews on these types of products should be on a list of things that SHOULD be in a pre/during workout drink and their dosages.

I'm going to start a thread just for this very soon to hopefully end this BS!
I never knew there was such a money making opportunity to scam bodybuilders particularly in the pre/during workout area!

    Good points mo and singlesculler.

    i will add to that,

lets go back 20-30 or even 40 years in the days of TRUE boodybuilding, days of gaspari, arnold or labrada.

i think creatine still didnt exist back then,

ok,fair enough steroids was a big thing but still food training and rest was the key to there success,

i guess as the years have gone by,we are all trying to find shortcuts to success, well the success wont come unless those 3 main points are overlooked first,
