    Serving sizes

I was hoping someone could help me out, hopefully with a picture of what a 5g serving size looks like on a teaspoon? Also, a 10g serving size if you got time?

I am pretty sure my guesstimates are too large

5g is roughly a heaped teaspoon.

A decent digital kitchen scale will solve your dilemma & last a long time.

I've got this soehnle scale Siena that I brought from K-mart over a year ago for $99.00. You'll probably get cheaper on ebay & such.

I have a set of Taylor digital kitchen scales. They cost about $50 from Harris Scarfe. They always have sales on scales.
I used it earlier and as most have mentioned, 5g was about one teaspoon.

5g would be about a heaped teaspoon, but dont be fooled cause some products are heavier then others, for example i need a heaped teaspoon of aakg to get 5g,beta alanine is about 2/3 of that,

Pottsy,

Getting yourself a good set of digital scales is really a good idea.

It is impossible to say what volume 5g is, as powder densities vary so much.

As an example, the density of glutamine is about 60% more than that of Leucine, so if a spoon of leucine was 5g then the same spoon of glutamine would be 8g.

Proteins are reasonably consistent, they are usually a little less than half the desnity of water. Ie, 1000ml's of protein is about 450g.

For those that are keen, I am working on getting a chart up on the Bulk Nutrients site which should help. I will have a graduated scoop available too with markings for 5g, 10g, 15g up to 30g.

The idea is to match the chart with this so people can easily work out what volumes of powder equals a certain weight.

The other option is a set of micro scales I have available. These weigh to 10mg (.01g) which are as accurate as any get and are only $25.

Very soon guys, unfortunately web updates are the only thing I farm out and at times waiting for stuff to happen is quite frustrating.

I have been throwing them in with any orders over $300, so there is a way to get them in the mean time!
