Thread: R-ALA - Expression of Interest

any chance of making up a batch with biotin?

I've ordered more of this R-ALA, to arrive in about 4 weeks time. If anyone wants more or missed out the first time, let me know so i can include you....

Just writing thanks - my 2 bottles arrived today. Shame I didn't have them for my first real carb pig out yesterday in months lol

My Acetyl L-carnitine should arrive from bulknutrients tomorrow - apparently a good stack

BTW, is there any minimum carb amount to take this with?

I just had one with 40g of carbs which I realize isn't heaps and feel a bit light headed.

Well I'm on holidays first 1/2 of this week so plenty of time to research the point.

Will post if anything particularly interesting.

The light headedness passed after 15 minutes so it was nothing serious. I have used ALA in the past but not noticed a thing

Thats what happens with a powerful Anti ox. Goes away after one or two doses. Headaches are common also.

I cant remember the name (sorry) but it was a stong anti ox which is given to recovering alcoholics which I took and the doc advised me that I may get headaches and nausea from the first few doses as "it cleans you out".

Thanks - didn't realise it was because of that. I wondered whether on first time I had unusually rapid glucose clearance.

Layne Norton on RALA. It's especially interesting as it suggests a use for people without insulin resistance. Some of the other studies (eg rat studies and per Layne untrained human studies) only showed benefit on insulin resistant rats.
