    Talking First BJJ class tonight

I did my 1st BJJ class tonight and absolutely loved it. It was such a hard workout Grin
I'm training with Matt Jones. He is a top guy with lots to offer. We train Gracie Jujitsu and BJJ.
I am also going to do the standup / grappling tomorrow night.

Some time in Feb Royce Gracie is coming to our club to hold a seminar or something, he came last Feb also Grin

    Love that shit YEAH

PS: Thanks to VAS for putting me onto Matt Jones

Yep, i'll see ya tonight. We probably wont be paired up coz of the size difference so you'll be safe :D
I bought one of the mouthguards that Matt selsl and stuffed it up royally. I did the boil to the exact times and the sides stuck together. Tried to reboil and made it worse :( waste of $50
I think i will go with a single only as i gag like a mofo with the double evn though i trimmed it down.

There are different pay structures depending on what you want to do. I pay $100 a month for unlimited classes which means if i wanted to i could do all classes every day and night. He has 10 day passes and casual rates.
I generally do 2 classes 3 nights a week and 1 one night a week, i will start doing every other Saturday morning too soon
so that will be 8 sessions a week x 4 weeks per month = about $3 a class

Where are you located buddy ?

I started BJJ in melb 3 months ago is very good learning tough workout very much based upon leverage and your mind...
I would love to do MMA but to be very good it is basically a full time job.
I started Kick boxing couple weeks ago and been doing that more so as the nights clash with BJJ. and i find if/when i get into a street fight kick boxing will go a a bit further
cause once on ground you never know who his mates are and maybe get kicked in head etc etc
I would much rather learn stand up atm and maybe go back to BJJ in the cooler months not alot of fun when rolling and your covered (literally)in the other dudes sweat... but thats all part of the game haha
    I reccomend it!

located on the central coast mate.

thats a lot of cardio, are you trying to bulk on the side with reg weights, id struggle to put on anything doing that anymore than once a week, i litterally reckon i dropped 1kg in that class alone, itd be water though, your not wrong about rolling around with other blokes sweat dripping on ya.

Nah, not trying to bulk. Just miss lifting the weights :) I actually want to drop down to around 93kgs so i dont have to compete with the big boys :) unfortunayely it wont happen before the state tiltles in 3 weeks time but it will happen hopefully :)
Im only doing weights once a week but may drop a day of jits to do an extra weights session ?

Have you heard about the mystery competitor you might be facing in the Senior Mens 97kg + division?

Apparently he is looking good for silver medal!?
