    Which Sport Do You Play?

Just wondering what everyone's chosen sports are? For me, sports are an absolutely welcome change to an otherwise boring cardio routine. I love days where I get up in the morning, get my gym cardio out of the way and then push into the afternoon playing a sport. Feels soo good.

My chosen sport is tennis. Played at a junior professional level a few years back and now just have the occasional hit. Going to get back into it to add some fun fitness into my routine.

I'm also aiming to get fit enough to start playing some amateur AFL. It is by far my favourite sport and gets you really working hard. Hopefully become fit enough to work my way out of the forward line and get myself on ball and into the really hard work.

Feel free to add how many calories are generally burnt while playing your sport too.

Squash and Oztag... Both very close to HIIT in the way your body is used... Couldn't get through a week without playing either one of them...
Used to play Rugby League, but i got a shoulder injury and haven't played since, that and i got sick of my body getting a beating every week...
Today I will do what you won't so Tomorrow I can do what you can't!

Yeah mate never really understood league myself. Fair enough it takes a bit of 'skill' to burst through a pack of burley men, but other then that....? Seems pretty obvious to me that you just have to draw as many opposition players in to the one play to create space in other areas. Not to mention our countries rugby league icons are far from great people. Further to my argument, a lot of past and present (mainly past) drank and smoked a whole heap and were still able to play - says a lot for the sport.

I have played a similar game to OzTag - it's called RecFooty. Basically touch AFL. Works kind of like netball - Ball can't touch the ground, only forwards can score etc. You 'tackle' the player by pulling on their tags that are secured to the side of their shorts. Would probably still play but you know how it is - extremely hard to get your mates to do things.

I play squash and indoor cricket on occasions. I seem to play a season on, then one off. Also play touch footy in winter - we have some good comps at work.

I kind of figured most people here would lift weights and do general gym sports. lol

I am more looking for fun, outdoor sports that people play in addition to their gym routine.

I played league for 22 seasons until retiring in 2007. I have played quite a bit of mixed netball (love it - no really I do!). I play squash badly once a week (its actually an advantage being 137kg - my opponent has a long way to run around me).

I have a goal (not one I am actively working towards, but it is on the to-do list) of completing an Olympic length triathalon at some stage.

Umm - no. Unless you count the "Squastics" trophy that my mate and I play for. "Squastics" is "Squash spastics"
