    mountain bike people.

I know we've got a few mountain bikers here.
So tell us what type of ridining you into?
    What bikes you ride?
    favourite trails.
and anything else you might wanna share.

Ill start it off. cross country rider.
Favourite trails are blue mountains, local trails at menai and the national park. Ride a scott spark.
Funniest thing that has happened. Was coming round a corner at a local trail and allmost riding over a red belly black snake. I must have just nicked its tail cause it spun up towards my pedals. i dont know if everyone has seen a superman at the motocross. But i was told thats what i looked like as i tried to get my feet of the pedals while still hitting the corner. Got a few bruises from that one and needed clean underpants also.
any other riders out there or those that are keen to start. drop by.

yeah mate I have a Scott Aspect 55 MTB and its great.

Luckily I have plenty of paved bike paths near home and also some bush paths which i use regularly.

Still have a sore knee from when i tore my medial ligamnet after coming off on the skateboard / bmx bowl....my wife says no fool like an old fool.
Note to self - remember MTB is not BMX!

lol no mate, I was riding home from a ride through the tracks and came across the bowl,,, couldn't ride past without having a go!

I gave the kids a laugh but they were pretty good and asked if i was ok, as i got up with bloody arms and knees. I was ok to get back on and have another go and ride home but the next day the pain and swelling...

Did a LOT of MB'ing before hitting the gym - mostly on the 'rail trails' (and path derivations thereof) throughout Victoria.

Alas, my gym instructor has suggested I lay off the heavy cardio stuff if I want to build muscle mass, so the intense biking has been reduced somewhat.

I love my mountain bike, was the best investment I ever made. It's been great for my dog too, it completely exhausts him and now I have a garden I'm lucky we have bike tracks everywhere and big paddocks too!
