Kwaka 600, which you know you love...

Just Do It brother. Gamma is still playing with hand me downs and living with mummy and will die not knowing how to tie his laces but he will be touching himself or in touch with himself . The money you are saving on interest rate cuts will pay for it along with government handouts. Money makes the world go round brother, these fat cats have got everyones knickers in a knot talking recession, recession. You will get a killer deal now with all the idiots thinking the same shit. GO GET ONE.
GAMMA, get on ya magic meditation mat and ..............................fly away

So - looking at getting a bike but in QLD can only get 250 - what is everyones recommendations? I hear a few 250's getting around and they sound pretty shite, anything that has a bit better note to it?

Only a 250 ? Thats shit. What happened to power to weight ratio ? If you have to get a 250 get a road / trail bike, practice ya wheelies for when you can get a bigger one

bummer. If you are tall ish it is hard to find a comfortable road bike in a 250 as they are made for the average Japanese male. Not sure what is out in the current 250's but if you don't plan on keeping it i would go 2nd hand and a trail bike. The 600's are not much bigger either. I'm 6'2 and make my 1000 look like a 125

Haha mate, i'm 175cm! No issue there, in fact now that im down to lower weight/bf% i probably do look like a jap when in bike gear :)

Old man came off on a trail bike on the road, so i promised him i wouldnt get one. Might go a CBR or somethin 2nd hand?

CBR's are a good choice, still get good money for them when you sell them too. Enjoy

Chris take a few for a ride mate. Have heard both good and bad things bout the CBR's. Might be a beat of a peaky engine curve to handle slow turns. Then again thats going to be a common trait with any 250 I spose.

Question for all the riders here - who lane splits?

ALWAYS. Some people get pissed off when you do it and try to move over to block you. Just let them stay in front, sit back for a little bit then nail hit. As you are flying past this loser stick ya foot out and take off their side mirror. MUCH SATISFACTION

I split because I would rather be out in front than behind a pack of idiots where some moron is likely to side swipe you because they can't see past their own fat head, you can also make yourself a lot more visible that way.

What shitted me off the other month was being split by some fat arse on a scooter when I was in the car because the knob decides to do 10km under the limit.

Needless to say a good old antenna grab as you ride past is a favorite of mine when someone blocks, swerves, or cuts you off deliberately.

I split too in certain spots. Generally Wynumm Rd is mayhem in peak hour and there are some 'easy' split spots through there. Also gets very tight in spots too where I generally dont.

But last week - cruising along splitting traffic. Dude on a bicycle in the left bike lane, decides to cross the road. In between cars. No warning. Straight across in front of me.

He so nearly died. I locked up the back brake (which in itself I was lucky it didnt step out and hit a car).

Now interestingly - lane splitting is illegal in QLD isnt it? So what he did was illegal - but what I was doing was illegal too. So if I had of hit him - what would have happened?!
