That's terrible Soulweaver, sorry you have had so many problems. I know from first hand experience that it's never easy dealing with all the crap that goes on at hospitals. I've had to organise many things for my husband over the last two years that I would have thought should have been handled by the professionals, but it doesn't work that way. Heaven help those on their own or with noone willing to help.

I hope you get the help you need and may I suggest a different neurologist, that first one sounds like a prick. I've talked to many patients over the last two years and a common complaint among many of them is that no doctor took them seriously before they were diagnosed. I met a lady in Townsville with tumours on her pituitary gland that made her jaw bones grow so big she looked like a man, but was told there was nothing wrong with her, it was from her weight training and to back off going to the gym!!

But I hope they can get a diagnosis for you, sounds terrible. Good luck.

Dude, that story sucks. I want to punch the hospital on your behalf.

Just one thing - i've heard of a few people in similar situations that have turned out to have blood clots... please double check man (if that's possible - I don't know shit about medical stuff). That sort of thing scares the crap out of me.

    Keep us updated!

    All the best

I got treated the same when I did not tell them I was taking prohormones, why bother? Was my first thought.
Secondly when I came across a nurse to tell them that I know what caused it, his attitude was ahh to late forget it.

But it sounds like your met prick world.

I am curious though, are you having black outs? Certain areas of the spine will do this, do you have any episodes of deafness spouts with this pain or ringing in the ears?
I have had similar instances of pain and unresolved for certain amount of time, all located back to certain discs in the spine pushing against each other, I was just curious
on your condition, not relating it to mine, but just curious to your symptoms .

I am not a doctor just casually reading your summaries.

Get well bro, I hope you overcome this.

Never had a black out or any deafness.
Dizzyness has reduced to barely anything now, and I can honestly say I no longer have a headache, or 1 out of 10.
So the current meds are helping, and in a weird stuffed up way the hospital may have actually helped.
I have to stay on the meds till dec and then we will go from there.
    fingers crossed.
    thanks all for your msgs
    cheers

I had a similar experience 3 years ago where the local hospital assumed I was drug seeking. I went in with a pain in the calf - suspected DVT - sent immediately to hospital by my GP. They couldn't find anything so did the whole 'what do you want us to do' thing. Well didn't they change their tune 2 weeks later when rushed to hospital by ambulance with blood clots in the lungs and on the verge of cardiac arrest.....that's when they shit themselves but of course it was my fault apparently....why didn't I come in earlier??? I was furious...I said I've been here 3 times and you keep sending me home saying there is nothing wrong with me....then having to spend 10 days in CCU in another hospital, months of drug therapy, hospital appointments and other bullshit that should never have happened.

One of the bloodclots that they said I didn't have, was so big it should have lodged in my heart and killed me instantly. I had self medicated with asprin when they sent me home and said there was nothing wrong with me. That is the only thing that kept me alive.

Unfortunately when Drs get it wrong, they get it wrong in a big way and they never apologise for their mistakes.

Hey Soulweaver, What meds have they got you taking?

Soriminah! U poor thing. I'm so glad they got it before it got worse. I seriously don't know how they just pass people off with wrong diagnosis. It's pretty disturbing. I've had a bad experience but it's too long a story.

People are like sausages, it's what's under the skin that matters. Therefore, you should poke them with a fork periodically.

Drinking beer makes you feel the way you want to feel, when you're not drinking beer.

I've heard of those but haven't tried them If they keep the headaches away, could u drop me a line please? Also, be careful they don't make you put weight on. I'm not sure if these do but a lot of the preventatives do.

been on this combo before. they stopped all migraines but I still had daily headaches. on a scale of 1 - 10 though they were about 2 on these drugs.
at the same time you tend to look for problems when there is one, so maybe if i wasn't looking for a headache then they would of worked better.

this time round it is working better, is that because of hospital as well? not sure, but it is working better.
weight gain isn't a side effect with these drugs, but i have been on others which are.

hospital contacted me today, should receive written notification about outcome in next few weeks.

I might go try them. I'd say the sleep and rest while you were in hospital really did help you after all. I know the best way for mine is to get proper rest and adequate sleep. I might give those ones a whirl. Keep us posted and hope you feel better. I know how you feel! You're not alone.
