    Those without a home

Some of you may or may not know that my younger brother passed away earlier this year. Over the past couple of years he was helped considerably by the people at the Hutt Street Centre here in Adelaide. The centre provides services for the homeless and vulnerable here in Adelaide (food, clothing, medical, social inclusion etc).

They are facilitating a 'walk' in order to raise money for the centre and my 7 year old daughter and i have chosen to participate to see if we can help raise some money.

Ive posted the link below this paragraph just in case anyone is interested in showing their support. The money goes directly to Hutt street Centre so nothing dodgy going on.

Everyday Hero: walk a mile in my boots

ps. DAVA gave me permission to post this. Cheers Dava.

Is there actually a "walk" going to happen? If so where is it held? I might be blind but I couldn't see it on the site....

Thank you for your support guys. This is wonderful.
I know you found it GB but just in case others are curious.

Theres a walk on the 6th August @ 7.30. Goes from corner of North and East terrace in the city and at the end they give you a typical Hutt Street Breaky (not sure what a typical hutt st breaky is). I wonder if similar centres in other capitals do something like this

Rusha as soon as I get paid I will also donate. These organisations are amazing, most often they are understaffed and underfunded and give the shirts off their own backs to make someone else warm etc.

Yeah thanks :). Especially thanks to a few of you here. We've got 200 donated already and two of my friends signed up to walk with us and get sponsors.

Payday today, donation has been done. Included in it is $1 from my son, he saw what I was doing and went to get a $1 to help, so there is $14 from me and $1 from him.
