Noosa Tri - Done and dusted

So ... who wants to know how I went?

You may recall the following from my 1 year post:

Noosa really knows how to throw a party! I had the most fun this week!

I did the swim in ... 35 minutes 27 seconds

I did the ride in ... 1hr 20 minutes and 44 seconds (1hr 13 minutes + the rest for transition

I did the run in ... 1hr 09 minutes and 12 seconds - the loss of time being primarily due to big cramps in my gluteus maximus (BUM) from pushing too hard on the bike before trying to run.

Overall - 3:05:48 which was nicely under my goal.

    In reference to this:

    Richard 02:42:21
    Stuart 02:50:44
    Amanda 02:56:39
    Edward 03:05:48
    Derek 03:06:41

My ride was right up there too - Derek got 1:19:12, Richard got 100 and I got 144 (the standard rule is that the ride times include both transitions).

Looking to the future, I am taking this week off to rest and plan. Next week I start 3 months of building. Maximum of 1hr medium to high intensity cardio per day. 4 way split, 60-90 minutes gym routines. Pumping the protein back up a bit and dropping the carbs a little.

Feb and March I will drop back into my intensive cardio routine for the Mooloolaba olympic length tri (same as Noosa) on last weekend of March. Opinions?
