yep that'd be pretty cool.. just being able to shoot the shit out of them... that's where Zombieland kinda got me... thought it'd be fun...

No Tobey Maguire in this one.
yeh... read about this the other day... it took too long for them to start with shooting and putting something together for spiderman 4 that sony has decided to reboot the franchise, getting rid of Toby and possibly Sam Raami the director... might be goodd... in my opinion 3 kinda sucked... turned a bit into twightlight i think.. to much romance and not enough action...

Hopefully they keep their bad ass van.

I watched Sherlock Holmes today. It's pretty decent. RDJ is good in it. Just goes to show junkies really can turn their lives around & live productive lives once more. Only complaint is that he never says "it's elementary my dear Watson".

Apparently here's a leaked costume test photo of Nic Cage as he may have appeared in the Tim Burton Superman Lives movie, over a deacde ago, were the plotline has Superman being killed by an unstoppable alien and his coming back to life. Really looked forward to this, alas it didn't happen as the budget became over the top.

Sam Raimi is concentrating on the new world of warcraft movie while the spiderman franchise is getting a total reboot ( as Spidey in high school) - my feeling it will be a huge pile of shit with a guest appearance of Edward (the sparkliest vamp) from twilight to help boost ticket sales from rabid teenage girls.

Okay... okay I made up the bit with Edward up but the rest is true.

Agree with most of the above with Avatar. It is probably the most amazing visual experience I have ever had at the movies. I even let out some grunts of amazement at some of the scenes, it was so breathtaking at times. Sure both the plot and the scripting were unoriginal (I think we could have come up with something like that as a forum) but the imagination and the artistry is what I was going for. How do people come up with plants, animals, colours, expressions, floating islands, etc, like that? And without drugs... That's why art always amazes me - people start with an amazing, unique, idea in their heads and through hours and hours of hard work and trial and error, something like Avatar is made. Incredible.

The only depression I had was caused by the fact the we rape and pillage the Earth just like the Colonel, mainly in the name of corporate profits.

Sherlock Holmes - crap. The critics said there was too much 'bromance' and they were right. Somehow the portrayal of Sherlock Holmes and a moody bachelor emotionally reliant on another pal just didn't cut it. And most of the script wasn't funny. And the plot was fairly basic and predictable too.

The Lovely Bones - a bit slow for me. Some great imaginative scenes wandering through the mind of the dead protaginist (apparently caught between Earth and heaven), but it didn't suck me in - I felt separate from the movie rather that a part of it (something that didn't happen with Avatar - I was well and truly sucked in). A bit of a weird ending too. Marky Mark just can't act.

True, but Avatar also incorporates themes/elements from other movies like the Matrix, Dances with Wolves, Star Wars etc. It's interesting that everyone I speak to regarding Avatar says the same thing 'it's hard to describe, you just have to experience it', James Cameron sure does have that magic touch.

I watched Avatar last night and you really do have to experience it. We wanted to go watch it again straight after but are holding off to go watch it again at IMAX this time. What a great movie.

I am going to watch Avatar just waiting for the right companion watch it together. Last time watched movie "Knowing" with Nicolas Cage. It took me a month to get rid of that “depressing” feeling of predicted apocalypses in 2012. Why all these movies nowadays so depressing or give you blues, like “Twilight”? I am such a sucker for this vampire movies. He-he….

Don't worry Natacha Avatar is not depressing or apocalyptic. On the topic of Vampire movies, I re-watched Blade 2 on the weekend. Got me thinking that someone should make a Blade v's Twilight movie, the Daywalker would have those emo vampires sliced & diced in no time.
