I could go on & on with this list.

TBH I can't remember the first Transformers that well. I do remember that I enjoyed it a lot more then the latest one. Maybe because it was new & unexpected. I remember feeling more of a connection to the autobots in the first one. That scene were they are hiding outside Sam's window comes to mind. I don't think the first one had as many robot fight scenes & explosions. I agree with what Mo said about the film being to much. After the 50th explosion it's hard to get excited about the next 50.
the movies i highlighted above were pretty good sequels...

and the transformers movie was done the way it was, because of the fans of the transformers... the movie is a movie made for the fans of transformers and the younger crowd in general... you'll find that it served the fans well by showing more robot fight scenes and explosions... i went on to some of the forums after the secong one and every die hard fan complained that the first one didnt show much of the robots and that they expect to see more of the robots...

the 2nd one is where they got there wish... more robots instead of humans...i think cause of the length of the movie people begin to start looking into it more especially when your ass starts to hurt cause you've been sitting down for so long..

I am a Transformers Fan. In the 80's I used to watch the cartoon every afternoon when I got home from school. I had the Transformer action figures, when I played with them I used to make the mechanical transforming sound. I can still remember the Transformers theme. Transformers, robots in disguise. Autobots rage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the decepticons.

We've all got different taste in movies. I picked those sequels cause I really liked the first film but was disappointed with the sequel. I don't see much point debating the merits of each sequel here. But I will say this about Terminator Salvation:

T1 & T2 are 2 of the best action / SciFi films ever. Both films stand the test of time. I never get tired of watching either. When I watch them I care about Sarah Conner, Kyle Reese & John Conner. The T800 and then the T1000 are all time great sci fi bad guys. And I can't forget Arnie's role's in these films, probably his best work. James Cameron is a master film maker.

The biggest plot hole in salvation was when Skynet catches Kyle Reese. Skynet knows that Kyle Reese is John Conners farther. Why not just kill Kyle Reese there and then as a boy? John Conner would cease to exist. I know if I watch T1 or T2 anytime soon I'll be able to pick all the inaccuracies in Salvation. In my opinion if your going to make a sequel/prequel then you must remain faithful to whatever was said/done in the original films.

The ending was lame; anti climactic & far fetched. Really, open heart surgery in a desert.

I've been a Christian Bale fan since American Psycho but I didn't like his portrayal of John Conner. I didn't believe that this was the same John Conner we saw Eddy Furlong play in T2.

This is turning into another rant so I'll just leave it at that.

T1 and T2 is one of the few action films where you actually care about the protagonists; they are easily the best 2 action films ever IMO

Saw "The Reader" (new to DVD) finally.

    Loved it.

Rather slow to begin with, but around 1/2 way the plot changes and it becomes rather intriguing and emotional. The most engrossed I have been in a film for a while.

    8.5/10

watched friday the 13th,must say was pretty lame and bugger all scary,

i think the old versions were much better,

also watched "12 rounds",i really enjoyed this movie, full of action and great story line, for some reason it reminds me of "die hard 3",another movie fav of mine,

watched terminator salvation, didnt really think of it much, part 2 will always be my favourite,

as for transmormers 2,as most said, the movie is just full of action and too much bullshit, definiately not something i really enjoy, but i guess its for the true enthusiasts of the transformers,

considering i was a big fan of the cartoons,i much preffer the cartoons over part 2,

no wonder it had a great story line and same feeling as a die hard movie,

also watched "fired up" today.its about 2 college guys who love women and playing with them and want to become cheerleaders to attend a cheerleader camp with 300 women,

wasnt too bad, typical comedy romance movie,i didnt mind it,

Transformers - agree with everything Tranquilo said. Despite all the action, I got bored. The battle in Egypt just went on and on and then the parents and then the 'I love you'...give me a break...I just wanted it to end. And can't someone come up with something more original than a machine in the pyramids - It's been used a hundred times before. 5/10.

The Hangover - humourous but not funny if that makes sense. Maybe it was too built up to me - 5/10.

Milk - Sean Penn is bloody brilliant although he carries a fairly weak story. Thank God human (and gay) rights have developed somewhat in thirty years. 8/10.

My Bloody Valentine - for some reason I really enjoyed this despite a crap ending. Full of full on blood and guts. 6/10.

Sim, I saw The Reader at the cinemas and thought it was quite a profound movie. See 'Doubt'....brilliant.

watched the documentary called "i wanna be like that guy".i watched it twice actually and i loved it,very detailed and truly what someone goes through for a comp prep, and the fact hes an average joe is what makes it more interesting, highly reccomended for anyone to watch,t2, trust me you will love this one,

watched "the hangover",one of the most hilarious bachelor film ive watched in ages, and an appearance of mike tyson in it made it really interesting,he played an awesome short role in it,

interesting, i saw Bruno and thought it was the worst movie i've ever seen. It made me quite sad and even a little depressed. We both nearly left after 15mins but stuck it out to the end. I honestly didn't laugh once.

There was no story, just a sad attampt at cheap shocks and laughs. Made me feel sorry for the gay community. He lost all my respect after this one. And i was such an Ali G fan too.......

Saw doubt actually this week and quite liked it (7.5/10).

Milk was surprisingly good (8-8.5/10) as I kinda assumed it would be overrated given I do fairly often times human rights movies slightly unworthy of their degree of acclaim (I liked but didn't think Brokeback Mountain was particularly amazing for eg).

Saw Bruno (5/10) thought it wasn't particularly clever and was more degrading to the gay community than the "rednecks" it attempted to mock in some parts. It had its moments but it was generally more audacious than clever.
