    Hi Everyone im New.....

    Hey everyone

Im Chris im from Perth WA, started bodybuilding 3 weeks ago, and am having a great time so far. Tearing it up on my home gym and free weights ( 2hrs daily ) with a regular training buddy, i am a chef by trade so i have structured myself a 3 week strict diet plan - working well so far, have a range of suppliments - which includes the INNER ARMOUR mass gainer which i highly reccomend. Since starting 3 weeks ago i have lost 1kg fat and gaind 3.5kg muscle mass lots more energy and enjoy life alot more, suggest a good 30min jog or power walk before weight sessions gets the blood cells fired up :) have gone from 80kg to 83kg and my goal weight is 94kg and aim to press 110 pounds before 2011 cheers guys Chris

    Hi Chris

its great to see your enthusiasm mate. It would be great if you could bottle it for the years ahead where your motivation might wane a little!

Training 2 hours per day, 7 days per week is not optimal mate, but you will discover this for yourself as you learn more about lifting, and about yourself. Get rid of the mass gainer, as a chef you could make yourself some unreal high calorie foods to bulk up I am sure!

And by 110 pounds you mean 110 kg?

Because otherwise you're only talking 50 kg.

2 hours daily of weights sounds like you might be going too hard, too soon as well mate.

I'd suggest maybe a higher intense workout for 1 hour a day, maybe 3 or 4 times a week while you're starting.

You don't want to fall into the trap of getting bored too quickly or burning yourself out too soon with too much weigh-lifting.

Plus you don't want to over-workout (longer than 75mins i beleive is too much time on weights) as you're testosterone secretions start decreasing (bad) and your cortisol secretions increase (also bad).

    Welcome to the forum.

Hate to be a downer but 3.5kg of muscle in 3 weeks is pretty much impossible for the average male...

    EDIT:

just realised what tim meant by "hes gone obi1"
