    Hi From Brisbane

    Hi everyone,
I started training about 2-3 years ago but have only recently decided to get a bit more serious about it. I have always been consistant in going to to gym regularly but haven't ever been consistant with my diet and nutrition. I have joined size matters to become more informed about what to eat/ what not to eat and also learn from others who know alot more about training than i do.

    my current diet is

    breakfast- 5 vita brits

lunch- 4 pieces of multigrain bread
    2 tins of tuna
    2 apples
    dinner- varies...
tin baked beans and 2 pieces bread
    chicken breasts and vegies
    steak n vegies

I am having trouble finding food that is healthy that is easy to make for lunches... any help?

Also i hear egg whites are a must when trying to build muscle, so i bought some.... now what do i do with them? eat them whole or cook them on a pan?

    Thanks in advance

Okay - here come the real advice.

And sorry - I can be petty ;)

This is a great forum so welcoem to the team.

However, in order to get good advice (which I assume you are asking for here given the detail on your diet) - you need to remember 2 things.

1 - If the question sounds common - search!
2 - If you want info, you have to give info.

On that second point - happy to give advice on your diet. But are you trying to lose fat or gain muscle? When do you work out? That sort of stuff.

Just trying to be helpful - this is not a lecture.

    CB

Thanks CB for the heads up.

At the moment im trying to lose bodyfat so am doing about 20min cardio after the weight sessions. but once im at a level im happy with i want to gain muscle (which will be very soon). I train 5-6 days a week in the afternoon for about 1hr.

So i guess what im asking for is help for my diet to build muscle

I live on the Northside and train at various Goodlife gyms (mostly in the city due to work).

I think a few forum members live Bayside though.

Thanks for the extra news. You should jump into our Nutrition area for some advice, tips, etc.

First tip - if you want to gain muscle - eat about 3 times what you have stated and lift really heavy!
