    Supplement recommendation via MetabolicTyping.com

    G'day there.

Just completed my MT questionnaire via MetabolicTyping.com through Jasper's advice.

In reagards to the supplemental recommendation:

This looks like the biggest scam ever. It really took away from the whole genuine, individualised advice and experience that MT supposedly provides. Moreover, they kept making it out like the only place to get the supplements in the 'right form, doses, amounts, purity' etc is basically from them (UltraLifeInc.com). I've had a look through the ingredients of the supplements I was recommended and the products are just MASSIVELY overpriced.

I wanted to know how is the supplemental aspect of MT normally addressed? Do people actually bother with them and if so, can you look for local, cheaper alternatives with the same ingredients? Metabolic Typing really seemed quite genuine until I got to the supplements, simply a rip off (not that I didn't expect them to try and make money out of me but this is just grossly overpriced).

    Thanks in advance guys.

Does it give you any options towards what kind of supplements?

    Nope.

It just lists the specific supplements you need which are exclusive to UltraLifeInc.com, many of which I already take in my diet but are 'obsolete' since it is 'highly likely', according to MT, not to contain 'the right ratios and so on'. I love when they use phrases such as 'specifically engineered in the right ratios' and such, works wonders on the populous in the performance enhancement supplement industry.

The $AU at present makes the price unattractive. It also depends on whether you look at it from a financial perspective or a health perspective? You will not be able to get any of the specific MT or any FDA approved glandular supplements here in Australia.

Like I have always said you are much better to get advice from an MT practitioner to help you understand the process and your body (including advice on the supplements). MT takes time, and those who invest the time to understand how there body works and how foods effect their appetite, emotional wellbeing, disgestive function, energy levels and asthetic appearance always achieve better health.

The digestive enzymes (Enzigest and HCL) are among the best I have used as they are targeted to specific digestive environments and PH.

Synergy-Com's are much like a multi but a whole food supplement specifically targeted with the nutrients that will push each specific MT in the right direction e.g. protein types have more Vit A.

Oxi-Com's are basically specific Amino Acids for each Oxidative Dominant MT.

Fish Oils, Pro-Biotics etc could be purchased locally. I would consider a specific strain of probiotic to target specific issues e.g. v299 for IBS, LGG for breastfeeding mothers etc.

Glandular support such as the Adreno-Bal have no equivalent here in AU.

You could always read over the specific ingredients of the MT supplements and try and put together something similar.
