    Self Test from MT Book

Ok I'm reading the MT book suggested on this forum. Good read so far. I have just done the self test and have come out a protein type. So I headed off to woolies and bought some of items in the example meals in the book.

When I got home I had one of the example meals which was celery and peanut butter. Now about 1-2 hours after this snack, the meal just passed right through me!!! What does this mean??

Does this mean maybe I answered the questions wrong and am not a protein type? Or does my body just not like celery? Its on the allowed list of foods?

I will continue the eating from the allowed list of foods and see how I continue to react. Just wanted someones opinon on this??

Ok continued eating from the allowed foods in the protein type (from the book) hasnt affected me like the celery and peanut butter did. So I'm going to try celery and peanut butter again and see what happens....

Hey dude, i had the exact same problem. I am a protein type as well. Try adding a table spoon of fiber after each main meal e.g breakfast, lunch and dinner. That helped me out

Ya i think just about everyone is a protein type. Those MT tests are very specific and i think everyone should take their time in completing the test (by that i mean, experiment with foods so you can properly answer the questions).

Seems like protein types are the "just right/in the middle" answers that a lot of people pick because they don't know.

I just got back from a weeks camping and tried different meals (with what was available). A few things I tried were:

Carb breaky consisting of ceral and toast.
Result: Felt tired 1-2hours after breaky

Protein breaky consisting of bacon and eggs.
Result: Had longer lasting energy and didnt feel tired 1-2 hours afterwards

Carb snack consisting of sandwichs on white bread
Result: This was very bad. I felt very fatigued about an hour after this meal. No matter how hard I tried I just had to go to sleep!!

So it would seem I'm definately a protein type. I agree with your comment union. It would be good if there were some set meals in the book that you could take that would help you answer these questions, as I'm not sure if the meals I'm testing with are even a good test :S

Probably stupid question, but whats a table spoon of ribre? Like actual fibre as a supplement?

Middle answers usually produce a Mixed or Balanced MT.

Fast Oxidisers (Protein Types) are more common today because of psychological and lifestyle traits. They are more likely to have 'need it now' characteristics and drive to work, cutting in and out of the lanes to try and get their faster!

The more stress on the body - the more need for protein.

Streak007 got the book from Pacific Fair at Broadbeach on the Goldcoast. It was the only one there but when I went back into the store a week later there was another copy so it seems a good place to get it.

Belmont, that sounds just like me so it seems more and more that I'm a protein type. Woohoo!! lol. Am looking forward to doing the full MT in the new year.

i think i might skip some pages and get straight to where the questionnaire is,lol

nuh, will take my time and read and understand it all properly,

its amazing how they researched it all and all the effort and travel that went into it,
