    MT Theory

ok. i still havnt had this done even though its been around quite sometime.

can people please comment on whether or not changing their diet to a supposed MT has "DEFFINATELY" increased performace and overall training.

this excludes people who started trainig and done their MT near one another.

id like to hear some comments on people who were previously 3+ years of well planned training and dieting and what changes they have seen.

    cheers.

What exactly do you mean by performance and overall training? These are very wide concepts :).

    i mean exactly that.

u would expect a wide variety of performance increase.
    sleeping better?
    recovering better?
training is better then it was before the mt diet?

these kinds of questions im wondering.

i eat alot of everthing and i like it. if mt said i couldnt eat bananas lets say...id go hang out the balcony. lol.

I would say yes to your three questions as you are proving your body with optimal cellular nutrition.

I have had lots of success with clients (and professional athletes) and myself in particular with improved sleep, energy and recovery as it really helps to sort out insulin (blood sugar) problems as most people are addicted to starchy and processed carbs which arent great for any MT but are especially bad if you are a fast oxidiser!

I have found that most mainstream nutritionists / dietician / naturopaths promote high carb diets and in particular for athletes that I do strength and conditioning work for it dosent always suit their MT. When we changed their diet to suit their MT their fatigue dramatically improves. However their are athletes this suits. We have a trained a world champion triathlete that feeds his body on a VERY high carb diet and maintains ripped physique!

To answer your original questions - For energy, recovery and sleep I would say yes. I havent had a lot of experience with 'body builders' as such but i would think that these factors would all promote a better physique and life balance.

    rjono,

No blood test, you can do it online, kinda like a personality test. Just answering questions.

Blood tests only give you a point in time picture and can vary greatly even during the day.

Your 'blood type' can however have an effect on your MT program as can your endocrine system, much like the personality traits.

    Now that is true :).

I still remember my first results, which were quite limited in terms of food choices as I am a Fast Oxidative Dominant. Then I went further into my test results, and saw that by being 0+ my food choices got limited even further :(.

Being a fast oxidiser an O- I totally understand!

My 17 month old son is also O- and a true carnivore! He loves red meats, asparagus, cauliflower, mushrooms, peas, avocados. All fast oxidiser foods.

He isnt really into broccoli, tomatoes or potatoes. Its funny how kids will let you know what they like without external influences. He does however love bread!

I think he almost eats the cleanest, most organic diet of any 17 month old in Australia! Add to that he can do squats and and is getting close to mastering pushups :-)

ive seen some sample questions from the MT test.

i can accurately say to a few of them more then 1 answer.
its more like a feeling of the current mood. just like a blood test.

id rather see what 4 blood tests spread out over the day can do.

both ways of testing are a snap shot imo.

wouldnt having mutiple blood tests during the day give a MORE accurate answer then questionaires?

rjono, what exactly do you think a blood test will tell you in terms of dieting?

The variables of a questionnaire would provide you with a 'functional' metabolic type and through fine tuning and re-testing would hopefully get you to your 'genetic' type.

This why it is important with an MT test to answer them as you are 'now' and not what you have read, heard or believe about nutrition and food.
