i would ask u the same of a MT jesper. a questionaire with many variables.
rjhone, your reply just does not make sense.

I repeat my question; what exactly do you think a blood test will tell you in terms of dieting? You seem to believe that blood tests will provide the answers, so I want to know what kind of answers you think it will provide?

no idea jesper. im throwing ideas out there.

do u have to pay to redo the MT online test each time u feel there needs to be a change?

What exactly do you mean here? Each time your diet needs to change? You can always change your diet within the MT parameters.

Your metabolic type will theoretically change over time towards a mixed type, although I have personally not yet seen that happen. You will never go from being a fast oxidative dominant to a slow oxidative dominant. So the answer is that doing your MT is a once off thing.

Jesper, can i ask a question regarding MT? I'm a balanced dominant, does that mean i've pretty much been going about things diet and lifestye wise in an appropriate manner for my body, or is there another implication/s?

I've noticed a few people suggest that over time moving toward a balanced type (from say a fast oxidative type) is what should theoretically occur. I'm just curious as to how i arrived at my type first

There is no clear answer here, but my suggestion is that genetic factors and exegeneous environmental factors are large contributors to the MT. Perhaps if you have been eating a balanced diet all your life (e.g. nothing processed, whole foods etc.) this could have resulted, but this sounds quite far fetched to me.

Although Wilcott Et Al maintains that you will gradually move towards homeostasis in your nervous and oxidative systems (and the other more granular systems) over time, my own experience strongly contradicts this.

In terms of your curiosity I don't have a scientific answer, but I have a "spiritual" one :). We often spend time thinking or contemplating the past, and how things came to be. That does not change the fact of how things are right now, in this very present moment! Jut enjoy life my friend, and the fact that you have many less limitations in your diet than most :D!

Thanks Jesper. Actually your reply speaks volumes, perhaps a spiritual response in this case was more beneficial :D

well i grew up on a lean whole diet almost NO processed foods (lived out the little town no cities life there)

and even today im still eating a 80% whole food diet.

i have noticed one thing with regards to diet that has had serious change on my performace. and that was having minimal carbs at night time.

i strictly stick to eating protein meals after 6am. no carbs. for some reason i sleep better and feel better when i wake up.

i then do the daily carbo load until i work out. etc.

G'day mate - could you please give me an example of what your 'no carb' meals are :-)

bel there are 'some' carbs. but VERY minimal amounts. so instead of a rack of pasta rice etc. i stick to eggs. nuts. meats. protein powder. after 6pm.

the last round of carbed food i have is an hr after workout. when i have a small serve of steamed veggies + protein shake etc.
