    High Creatinine Levels

    Doc,
High levels of Creatinine in the blood, in layman's terms is this a problem? Considering a bodybuilders regime and above average muscle mass, is this considered normal or should it be examined further and controlled? If so what is your opinion on ways to keep this in check?

    Depends on the level.

What levels are we talking about and that will determine the level of renal failure and the correct way to treat it.

Alot of things can cause failure, like meds, diseases, dehydration, etc etc

Hey mate, I get blood tests every couple of months and would always register very high creatinine levels and therefore would be sent off for 24 hr urine tests which would register high protein levels. I suggested to my doc it may be the creatine I take and therefore went off creatine and protein supps. and my levels came down. I am meant to stay off these supps but I just cycle them and cut down on high doses.I actually take Biocharge and RecoverX as I also want to be caffeine free to help me along ( thanks Fadi ) . I am keen to see this new creatine prop.... which Ben from Bioflex mentioned as he mentioned it left no creatinine ( is this correct Ben ). As soon as this product arrives I plan on buying it and testing it out.
I am interested to hear the Doc's response to your post ,
    cheers

dr's take elevated creatinine reasonably serious - get 24 hour protein urine analysis? Drs normally don't care about elevated protein urea in absence of other renal issues.

Mark, yes to both, the diet has had a bit of a shakeup this past month or so, as I've reduced the overall meal portions and have reduced carb intake considerably, also drink plenty of water.

Mick although I'm not the doc and obviously his advice is the one to follow, Ive had that a few times in the past, both on and off cycle, and the Doc that was doing my bloods said the high amount of red meat alone that I was eating is more likely the cause it, given everything else is ok, let alone adding suppliments and everything else to it.

It has never developed into anything and eating less red meat around blood test time lowered the reading.
