    abdominal pains

Hey body doc i got on the piss on the wkend and pulled up ok on sunday but felt like death mon/tues with a sharp pain up the righthand side of stomach and a bit of yellowness in colour. The pain continued wed so i made a doctors appointment and he said it could be pancreatitis, cholecystitis or fatty liver liver so i have to a ultrasound. I was wondering besides alcohol could long time supplement usage be a cause??

That would depend on the "supplements" mate. Have you had any blood work done? Your doc sounds like he's onto it anyway. The area you're talking about is generally the liver, and the yellow is jaundice, associated with biliary obstruction. This could be from a number of causes - a mild dose of Hep A, cholecystitis (inflammation of the gall bladder), fatty liver (although that's not really an acute condition), or pancreatitis, but you'd be pretty damn crook with the latter.

I would advise you to steer clear of booze and fatty foods. Get PLENTY of water into you and some milk thistle and R-ALA.

What supplements have you been taking?

Thanks for the reply, I another time got crook/flu about 4 weeks ago which happened to be after a heavy night on the booze which lasted about a week or so. My doc said i just had a virus, i had bloods done and they came back normal. Im thinking/hoping that its not something too serious i.e pancreatitis as the pain isnt that bad. The supps i had been taking were; tribulus, a mutli v, fish oil, resveratrol, cQ10, gluscomine, spirlina, wheat grass, protein, creatine, biocharge, recover x, WMS, cellfood. Could this be stressing my liver??

I doubt any of those would be an issue mate. Just lay off the grog for a bit.

Fatty liver is also a symptom of hemocromatosis, and it's not a painful condition. Well, it didn't cause me any pain and was discovered by accident when I had an ultrasound done.
