Thanks again for the detailed response ClownBoy.
I will give it a go for myself as I enjoy training with quantifiable objectives and goals. So having my nutrition requirements set out with those guidelines should help a whole lot.

So how are you going in your cycling. I just started racing again.
40km/hr average for 60km is A grade riding. Huge effort to get there... Especially by yourself in a tri. What speeds are you averaging now? To put it in perspective in the tour de france the top time trial riders average 48km/hr over about 38km
As for that 18km run.... you'll be able to hold 5min kms easy with the amount of running in that program.
Yeah, I know the 40km/hr is probably impossible but despite your support - I think the 5km minutes is not much more likely.
I can hold down a bit over 30km.hr on a flat right now - drops to high 20s on most f my rides which are all hills.
After the brisbane marathon I am going to ork harder on my ccling and reduce some effort on the running. Just to try and balance everything.
I should add that I like aiming for something a little bit impossible. I find it hugely fun to try and get there.
I just have to remember to be happy when I do great without hitting those goas.
