how important is sleep for testosterone?

I can never sleep more than 2-3 hours in a row.

I can't stop pissing, regardless of when I finish drinking or eating.

I'm seeing a urologist this weds about it - I'm wondering whether its b/c of my body's ability to handle protein. Thing is - my kidney functions are fine.

    yes that's been tested.

About 6 weeks ago I got everything tested - diabetes, salts, thyroid, liver, testosterone etc.

Test was my only tested abnormality.

I wondered whether I just don't process protein properly and am pissing it out.

I'm so conditioned to eating 200-250P that its hard to reduce

I attached my first test levels on page 1 of this thread.

The repeat test wasn't as bad - just below the normal range (so still clinically bad, but my first testosterone test I got bad scores even for a girl).

I never got to see the repeat test however. I'm going to try and get it off doctor next week.

The repeat test was only about a week or so ago

Such low levels are concerning at your age (well...at any age!).

Have you had your pituitary hormones checked? Low testosterone in the absence of anything else may be attributed to primary hypogonadism as a result of low stimulus from the pituitary (LH). Did you also have your progesterone levels checked?

Your test levels can be affected by stress, lack of sleep, over-training...

There's no point boosting your levels if your body isn't using the hormone.

I would suggest Gaspari's Novedex XT (clinically proven to assist in elevating test levels). This would be a good opportunity for a study - any suppliers want to get Simon on Some XT and then get some bloods re-done in the name of research?

Supplementing with DIM is also effective as well as controlling Oestrogen with products like I3C (indole-3-carbinol).

Failing that, you should see a hormone specialist. I see you're in Adelaide. (note to self - remove personal details from test results!)

If you want the details of a good hormone doc, drop me a PM.

    Doc.

    Yep, deleted personal details.

My second test wasn't so bad and FSH LH was checked. THe endo is a wanker and didn't give me results - he just said "ur still below the normal range but it's not freakishly, I want a third test and MRI to determine whether to attribute this to depression or some medical problem"

It shits me off - attributing this to depression when no such diagnosis has actually been made. I tried 2 anti-D's to see whether they woudl help with my energy levels last year, and they just exacerbated matters.

THe doctor won't attribute this to finasteride, even though all my problems seemed to follow finasterde, because I discontinued finasteride in 2007.

Yeah, I was certainly going to look into the stuff you were referring to if my endo/GP won't prescribe me anything. I have PMed u and am from Adelaide.

    Thanks

And I may consider buying that GASPARI product if no doctors are forthcoming

Interestingly, low test can cause depression. Frustrating as it can be, just run the course of what they're proposing. The Gaspari is available online. Check with the site sponsors or google it.

    PM sent.

Have you had your iron levels checked? What's your ethnic background. A lot of what you've written resonates with me.

My ethnic background is 1/2 English, and 1/4 Serbian, 1/4 Croatian (yes latter part is odd). I don't think that combo has caused the likely personality complex/internal angst
