My weight loss progress - Soulweaver

I thought I would start this thread to keep an eye on things and let other people who maybe about to start, or in a similar position see how I am traveling along.

When I started my body fat was 26.4% and I set my major goal of reaching 10%, so I had a long way to go!
Although I keep focused on my major I decided my first minor goal would be to turn that 6 into a 0, making me 20. something, and after 4 weeks I have achieved that goal! and taken almost 9cm of my waist line!

So now my body fat % is 20.9% and my waist which was 108cm is now 99cm.

Haven't seen a huge amount of change when I look in the mirror, but i have noticed my whole body feeling tighter, and generally better all over.

Even had a 'free meal' today as i lost 1.3kg this week, and I couldn't even eat it all, just the fat/crap that was in it was too much for me, so I ate about half and was satisfied with that, actually looking forward to getting back to what is now 'normal' food :)

I have been doing cardio 5-6 times a week, this week i am going to do cardio 6 times a week with 15mins in the morn, and 15mins at night to see what the change is like.

Also stepping up the weights a bit, have eased myself into things, now I want to start pushing a little harder, but not to the point of injury.

    will keep you updated!

    Good work so far!

To get a better idea of what you are doing, and so we can help you further, post up some pics of where you are at now.

Also more importantly, post up the current diet you are following, cardio is fine but you want to be loosing 80% of your bodyfat through cardio.

Congrats on the effort so far.....

I can relate to your journey. When I started on my "rebuild" I was a behemoth with 44" pants. I went jeans shopping yesterday and I bought 34" jeans. Now that's a great feeling. :)

    Keep at it champ.

well I have got myself to 92.1kg, which I haven't seen on a pair of scales for some years, probably 4. So that is a great result for me.

Struggled a bit last week with some sort of stomach bug, whole body was in pain. Kept the diet going, and still pushed through cardio on exercise bike going, with weight sessions, but did 0 ab work, just hurt too much.

This week has been hard as well, I am lucky if i have slept more then a few hours a night, so really tired atm. Son has been sick and when he doesn't sleep, nobody does.

Still no ab work, but have done my cardio and weights as much as possible. Plan to do legs today as i missed them in the week.
12hr working days with no sleep at the end of it makes life really hard.
still this week lost over a 1kg. so i have lost 6.3kg since starting 7weeks ago, which i am happy with since illness has played a part in exercise progress. Hazard of my job.

here is current photos. bf% is 19.9% estimate
Can see all my fat! :)

    Star log 203145.3

Found out this week that I have a stomach ulcer. Was put on some tablets, and told to lay off training so I don't aggravate the stomach any further. It was a side effect of meds I have been on for migraine's, which I am now no longer taking.

So this week I concentrated on cardio only (not sure i was allowed or not) have been doing 3km walk and then 15mins on the exercise bike. Broke my PB on the bike this week and hit 6.23km in 15mins. (bike is on hardest setting.) So I put a few km's into my legs this week and hope to start running on monday. starting with 3km. I have never run 3km in my life ever!

have lost more cm's off my stomach and now measure 94cm, a total loss of 14cm's since starting.
Actually measured everything today which I haven't done for a few weeks and have lost cm's off everything. Except height :P

Monday morn going to doctor, hopefully I get the all clear and can start weight's again. I now have 2 weeks off so I want to put in some big effort and hopefully see some great results.

    cheers
weigh in comes in at 91.2kg 900gram loss.
my bf% estimate is 17.4% only 7.4 to go until I hit 10% which is my first major goal.

Good work mate, training with sick kids is commendable!

I have some bad news though, you are more likely around 22 / 24% bodyfat. As I can't see any separation in your upper muscle groups, and you carry a fair bit of fat around the midsection.

Is your goal to see your abs? As at 10% you should have the top 4 all sticking out, and the lower ones starting to show through.

It's not going to assist with your weight loss goals, actually it may cause you to gain weight by holding onto more water. Creatine will assist your weight training, but I'd say if your goals ATM are more weight loss focused than they are increasing LBM than you could give creatine a miss.
I just saw my parents having sex, that's the last time I visit that website.

not much to say this week. Weight remain the same, as I had to take a week off with stomach ulcer. Dr didn't like that I did cardio, and took another blood test and confirmed that i still have it so had to take a complete week off, and avoid acid foods like orange juice, and keep taking antibiotics.

lvls were lower with ulcer, something about bacteria or something, and I can start again monday with training

I still ate well, but i took a more relaxed approach to diet which is prob why nothing changed. I guess it ties in well with easter anyway, relax a bit.

so i have 8kg's to lose in 10-12 wks if i am to reach the goal i set myself when i began. SO everything is still in my reach, despite set backs. At the same time I have no deadline really, but like to work toward a deadline as it helps keep me motivated and going.
hopefully will have better results next week!
