    Yup.

Its also a natural laxative so will cause you to eliminate easier and get rid of any bloating that may be plaguing you.

Definitely top nosh in my opinion.

Glad to know its not just me! Even if a freddo frog would do, if there happens to be a family-sized bar on special, or it even just catches my eye (especially Lindt & Milka) I have to buy it instead and devour the entire thing

I think with me its all or nothing. Instead of trying to fool myself that I can have 1 square & the willpower to stop, I just need to avoid completely or I'm like a shark getting the taste for blood!!

Maybe if you are going to gorge on chocolate, at least go for the super dark kind. Find a good 85% cocoa or higher. I have my favourites. It takes the guilt out of some of it.

What the Steve Tyler one? I know - magnificent isnt it.

Although, thinness and calorie-cutting arent really heralded much on size matters!

I don't hate you Rusha; I tend to agree with you there. It's a bit like eating butter/cream +++! I also like their dark chockies too. Food of the Gods!

This quote was made famous more recently by Kate Moss when she said she lives by it. It's copped fairly widespread flack as a motto for people with eating disorders. I guess by associating weight with feelings, which in young girls can have fairly disastrous consequences. Finally; although Steven Tyler is quoted as saying this about 10 years ago it seems the saying originated before that in the Weight Watchers community.
I just saw my parents having sex, that's the last time I visit that website.

i have the same sugar/chocolate issue... but what im really loving is crushing a couple of almonds, then 1 scoop chocolate WPI and adding just a little bit of water so it has a kind of custardy texture.. its awesome... its like eating chocolate cake dough before you bake it!

i also make sure i have litres of ready made low joule jelly... it takes hours to set, so make sure u have it ready in the fridge for when those cravings set in...

but i really did notice that if i go without sugar for a week or two the cravings pretty much just disappear.. kinda like quitting smoking i guess. .

...but one thing ive learnt is not to be too hard on yourself... as long as your positively tracking its ok to enjoy sweets, moderation.

spot on with the nicotine similarities. Sugar (or fructose) is the addictive substance

Just a thought, but for the females with the sugar cravings, have you ever tried tracking the dates of your cycle to the days you really cant control the cravings. As Fadi said, its a warning that seratonin is low, and this is even more so in the week to ten days prior to menstruation. Even if you are on the pill and skip that part of the cycle, you will still get (although much slighter) a low - high - low seratonin level cycle.

I am the same in some ways, if its in the house (ie relatives or bf bring chocolate, cake, sweets etc) then I either eat it all, or have to feed it to the kids or the dog before I get the urge to eat it all. However I have found that in general if I am sugar craving, then I NEED to eat PROTEIN, giving into the sugar craving just makes me feel sick (nausea, dizzy, headache), whereas the protein gets rid of the craving, and it only takes a small amount, ie a protein shake or a slice of cheese (although the cheese has higher fat content, so only used when out of protein powder or not in my own home).

Also, L-Glutamine is known for a lot of things, but one of its side effects is that it helps reduce hypoglyceamia, and when taken regularly, not only does it repair injuries and help keep the amino acids on track, but it helps reduce the need for sugar, so cravings and control would be better. Have just ordered the Glutaflex from Bioflex, so will let you know how that goes (have previously been taking glutamine supplement tablets from the naturopath as I rearranged my knee 2 years ago and still have issues with it, especially post workout, but now the BF wants to add glutamine to his protein & creatine mix, so trying the bulk 100% glutamine that can be easily thrown into protein shake).
