I've been on it for ...approx 4 years.
Should i go off to help with my competing goals? Fat loss, muscle building etc etc?

I honestly think it depends on you as an individual. Not all pills produce the same effects in all women. The other thing to consider is what you are taking the pill for in the first place.
What exactly are you trying to achieve? And when?
I wanted to add that if you feel you can do without it for the purpose of achieving some goals, do you really need it anyway?
Well to begin with - i've been taking it for number of reasons. 1. birth control (which isnt so much of a concern as I broke up with my boyfriend) and there are other options 2. it helps keep my skin clear 3. regulates my period
So mainly the reason i'd like to stay on it is for the clear skin.
I want to compete in October. So I need to lose approx 20kg. Hypertrophy. It's my first comp so I'm going to see what kind of results I can get if I give it my everything by then. If I'm not ready then I'll just work harder to compete next year.
It depends on what pill you take, but the progesterone in the pill will slow down fat-loss.
If you stop taking the pill, I would allow 40 weeks to lose 20kg. This assumes a high degree of cardio and a clean diet. If you continue to use the pill I would allow longer time. I also suspect that your final hardness will suffer as progesterone binds water. So in other words, if you are serious about competing, you will be well advised to stop taking the pill :).
done and done
cheers
As anything else, skin problems are emotional too :). In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) the skin is connected to the lungs which are controlled by the element Metal. Metal is the TCM element that controls grief and perfection. So if you have had a lot of grief in this life (or possibly past lives) then this may cause skin problems. If you always strive towards perfection then this will cause stress and is also likely to cause skin problems. Astma is also often caused by these two causes.
In terms of herbal remedies, try to drink roasted dandelion root. You can get this in health food stores. You make it like coffee in a plunger. Add honey and soy milk and it tastes really good! I use it as coffee replacement :).
very interesting Jesper. I love your alternative ideas. Does it taste alright without the honey and soy??
Hrmmm as we say in Swedish 'taste is like the bum, split in the middle'. Well it sounds much better in Swedish :).
Personally I don't like it without honey and soy but try it out for yourself :).
sorry to hear about your boyfriend situation how is that effecting your diet with all the emotions going on.
it's alright. I'm pretty into all this so nothing really going to stop me from training
