Fun pill update for all who are interested or bored enough...

i've been off since the 27th of the 4th (yes i checked the old post when Jesper told me I should stop)

    So that's a month exactly...

Man has it messed with me. My cravings and mood have been all over the place. Has anyone else gone off after a while and had any similar experience?

I generally get a little bit grumpy just before it starts but..i was crying on Thursday night for absolutely no reason.

What you have described is pretty normal Caitie. The pill keeps all that 'grounded' so when you stop its a bit like whoa. Obviously not everyone experiences the same thing though.

On the pill there wasn't alot of difference in moods/cravings just before it started but there certainly is if off the pill.

You don't want to know how tragic i get just before
Cravings are less so since i started on my healthy eating plan (avoiding the word diet) but my appetite increases by a fair whack.

You know how to find me if it gets too much.

    Hi Caitlyn

Re: going off pill....for me ...ages ago!! So can't really remember effect!

But I would suggest that you try a herbal remedy called Vitex aka Chaste Tree

get the fluid extract either from a healthfood shop that has a herbal dispensary or your local friendly naturopath/herbalist. or do you have a women's health centre close by?
Dose is 3-5 mls first thing in morning...you can take for your whole cycle for a few months...once stabilised...then take for the 2nd half only...ie; day 14-28

A good high dose multi vit-min formula along with a liver tonic may also help

if PMT continues to be a problem topical progesterone cream available with a script in aus [or you can buy from US...no problems with importing for me] may help

But try the Vitex first and see how you go

google "estrogen dominance" for more info

    cheers
    mac

Useful info there Mac. That vitex might be good for me. I tend to catastrophrize just before cycle and sometimes it can be a bit scary.
