It depends on your goals, I'm dieting at the moment so am eating about 150-200grams for my smaller meals.

Thats a bit of a "how long is a piece of string" question.

But if you weigh, say 80kg, and you subscribe to the "2g of protein per kg of body weight" theory, as well as the "six meals a day" theory, then you need 160g of protein split up into six 27g servings.

100g of chicken is around 30g of protein, so if your sole source of protein in that meal was chicken, then you would need around 100g.

    Do you follow me?

Yeah i get what you mean, thanks for the info, so ill be having 100-120g of chicken per serving, good thing i asked cause at the moment i was having about 250g and protein and tuna and other foods, so was too much protein for me to digest.

Thanks for writing that up mate as I'm as well trying to up my protein intake.

I'm trying to put some good weight on with HOPEFULLY MINIMAL FAT.

Just want to know is it 2g per kgs or 2g per pound? as I weigh 80kgs so that will be either 160g of protein or 352g of protein.

Generally it is accepted as 2g per kilo (which is around 1g per pound). There are plenty of people that argue you need more, and just as many people will argue that you need less, but I think 2g per kilo is a pretty good compromise - in your case 160g. If anything, I would err on the side of a little more - so 160-200g.

Cheers Tim I will try 200g a day as it's an even number to work with, I have to now try and balance my meals out and make shore i'm having 40g with 5 meals or 33-35g with 6 meals,
