    XMas Damage

Hi all, I am in the final throws of a 16 week cut (low carb, down to 1600 cal a day right now, I am 165cm, 64kg) and I am finding the cravings are hitting hard on weekends.

With that said, I have been able to resist quite well by dangling the mental carrot of xmas day and a really big day of eating what I want.

As a really rough guess I would say that I would be looking at maybe a 4000 calorie day of Eggs, Protein Pancakes + Ice Cream, Sausages, Toast, for breakast.. Turkey breast, roast potato + sweet potato, vegies for lunch.. and home made chicken breast pie, mash sweet potato, veggies for dinner, with a Titan bar or 2 as snacks along with the obligatory chocolate/lollies/caramel tart/ice cream/coronas etc.

Now, after some really hard weeks of intense lifting, cardio and dieting, I had made peace with this blowout day, but in the last week or so I have been second guessing myself, wondering if it is worth the potential set back.

Can anyone give me a sanity check, will one massive day really set me back? Or should I give in!?

Have a massive blow out day bro.

However - can you even fit all that in?

Whenever I had a blow out day I tried to keep it a bit healthy and just went for it.

(And yes, I had a guilt trip after each bite. But I am a bit OCD.)

Definitely give in mate, it really wont hurt. If you do put on weight, you'll get rid of it in no time. Dont worry bout these things, being lean doesnt mean having to completely miss out on ALL the good things in life, chill out its xmas. Fuck, have a few beers too (if you drink).

Trust me it will do you good. You deserve a treat after so much hard work. It aint gonna kill your progress, you wanna be lean, your gonna be lean. Just get back on track the next day onwards.

    Happy holidays bro.

Yeah as others have said dont worry about it, you have worked hard for this long, a few days to relax eat what you want wont do you much harm, then come back refocuses and full full of energy for the next stage.

I am with VAS. Get some perspective.

I am 1 foot taller and 40KG heavier - with not much loss planned.

You can't be doing too bad.

    Thanks

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I am really going to enjoy it! I think a bit of a cardio session in the morning might be the go also.

I don't consider 4000 a massive blow out day by any means.

If u want to reduce the blow out day, pig out on strawberries etc before attacking the other food, and drink copious water or diet beverages to bloat you up.

But 4000 cals is not a big deal. I have "cracked" and done 6-800 before lol
