a meal 1.5-2 hours before gym is a must,

have a decent solid meal with protein and low gi carbs, dont put fat in this,

by the time you train it will have increased insulin levels

I always need a meal before lifting weights. Cant train properly with a growling stomach. I agree with mino on having low gi carbs with protein. Chuck in some veggies too, gives me a feeling of well being (I swear veggies are veeerrry mildly psychoactive lol). I remember training after eating maccas and I felt like shit halfway through, energy kinda crashed.

However, before doing cardio, I still eat but only VERY light as I tend to get stitches. I always do high intensity cardio though.

I'm the same as mino, protein and low GI carb meal 1.5-2 hours pre-workout. From experimenting with different pre-workout eating times and meals I've found this works best for me.
    Eat first... ask questions later.

Agreed. If you're training hard make sure you've got enough 'fuel in the tank' - for optimum results.

Lately i depended on a meal 3-4 hours PreWO and only a PWO meal 5-6 hours from PreWO made me real weak and dizzy but the 1-2 hour PreWO suits me best.
