    Post Bulking vs Lean Bulking

    Hey guys,

Just wondering, who here prefers one to the other? And maybe some reasons as to why?

Getting massive incl your stomach and other parts of your body that enjoy storing fats.. and then cutting

    or

Getting big slower, with minimal fat gain..always keeping the lean cut look..

in my experience its your genetics that determines it. A "lean bulk" can only ever be done by a true mesomorph.

a lean bulk can be done, but your still going to hold fat and water no matter what bulking path you take,

but if you bulk clean the obviously the fat and water wont be as high compared to a diet full of junk,

I think it depends on what your definition of it is.

I don't think much can be gained by trying to stay lean whilst attempting to add muscle, this is the path I undertook and well my results have been dissapointing to say the least. Although I never would go on a see food diet, but this time around I am carbing up at appropriate times a fair bit so I am expecting to add some body fat and judging by my recovery over the past few weeks I am please with the progress. If I feel my body fat levels are getting out of hand I am more than confident with my abilities to drop body fat quickly and easily to make sure it doesn't get too out of hand.

So if your definition of staying lean bulk is staying lean as whilst adding muscle, for me it has sucked. Never have tried the path of getting a bit of a belly to gain the quickest and most amount of muscle so I can't comment yet.

Moderately Lean Bulk is the way to go. Too low BF will slow down the gains. If you can maintain a certain degree of separation and vascularity would be ideal. Always remember that you are building muscle not fat, at the moment I'm attempting to regain my former size and condition - my preference is to look big but to be hard and vascular not soft.

My definition of a lean bulk is to eat just slightly over maintenance. It has nothing to do with what you eat, providing you are getting sufficient protein and the important micro nutrients (in other words, your fruit and vegies).

I'm cutting at the moment, and can fit in the occasional Hungry Jacks into my macros and still be in deficit.
