100% Pure ZMA Formula (New Product)

We have a new product shorly due for release.

With any luck it will be available on Monday the 14th of December with the rest of our new products.

I have been asked about ZMA products for a while now, people always want to use them but like so many supplements if the price gets too high they can be dropped from the list.

As we supply our ZMA blend in 100% pure powdered form it is incredible value compared to buying the same product in caps.

As an example, a bottle of ZMA caps usually contains 60 caps x 500mg, for a total of 30g's of pure ZMA.
Our ZMA blend is sold in 250g and 1kg lots, so buying a whole kg would be the equivalent of getting 30 bottles of many brands ZMA!

Rather than a bottle which contains 30 - 60 doses, a whole kilogram will get you between 1000 and 2000 regular doses.
Enough to keep you going for well over a year, though more enticing to many, it is so cost effective that experiments can be done with much larger doses, possibly leading to more dramatic gains.

Another benefit to getting it in powder form means that you get none of the fillers and additives associated with capped products.

For those that are unfamiliar with ZMA it is a combination of Magnesium ( as (Magesium L Aspartate) Zinc ( as Zinc Picolinate) and Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxine Hydrchloride).
Although all ingredients have somewhat of an independent affect, taking them together does appear to maximise the benefits of all three.

ZMA is said increase strength and muscle size by raising testosterone levels as well as boosting the immune system which can be very beneficial for "hard' trainers" who risk over training. This has been demonstrated over the years by various researches (a lot of studies have been conducted on the combination) and magnesium is said to said to have a large effect on the oxidisation of fat as well as considerable other positive biological functions.

Perhaps the greatest benefit of ZMA is that it can have a very positive effect on sleep which assists recovery directly, as well as aiding growth hormone releases which has a positive affect on recovery and muscle gains again.

Our Prices for ZMA is $22 for 100g, $65 for 400g and $150 for 1kg.

    Hi Spiro,

Each dose is just over 500mg as we have based our formula on the original patented ZMA which includes 500mg of magnesium, 30mg of zinc and 10mg of vitamin b6.

Given that 1kg should last almost 2000 doses, so again this works out to be extremely cost effective.

    G'day Bioflex,

    Thanks for the reply mate.

How big is the serving size? to get 500mg of magnesium, 30mg of zinc and 10mg of vitamin b6.

And if you was going to mix it with GABA what will the serving size of GABA be and how many mg?

Hi Spiro, as the product is 100% Zinc, magnesium and Vitamin B6, 540mg (500 + 30 +10) is just 540mg - hence the almost 2000 dose in each kg.

Weighing out 540mg is a bit trickier though, where we would usualy recommend our micro scales.
With practise you would find that 540mg is close enough to 1/4 of a teaspoon or something else you could commonly use for measuring , so scales wouldn't ne necessary all the time.

A serving of Gaba is up to you but a typical dose is between 2 and 5g's.

hey bioflex, i have recently bought some ZMA and read somewhere that it is most effective before bed. i have also read that it should not be taken with any calcium source. my problem lies here. my last meal of the day includes a cup of milk and then im off to bed withing half and hour. is ther another time i can take it?, perhaps before my meal or something?

Good question Chump, this same problem gets a lot of people. Many get aroudn it by having a non calcium protein source before bed, however for practicality I think taking the ZMA 30 mins or so before your milk would work best.

Hi Chump - just as some extra detail - Calcium blocks the absorption of Zinc. So that is why you got that advice.

Bioflex's advice lets you absorb the zinc before you down the calcium. However I 'believe' this could still affect your success a bit as ZMA helps increase HGH production while you are asleep - the first boost of HGH is about an hour after you drop off.

So for my 2c, go the non-calcium option before bed. The other day I had my son's left over chicken breast on a single slice of bread with PB. Plugged the gap really well (I canot sleep with an empty stomach), gave a protein boost andn o calcium - so it wouldn't affect your ZMA.

    Ever eaten satay chicken?

It tastes good. I shouldn't have bread before dinner but it is just 1 piece. The chicken is good protein and the PB is good fats to help me feel full longer as I go to bed.

The 2 main ingredients for satay (home made anyway) are peanut butter and coconut milk.:D

I have my ZMA about 30 minutes before bed. I've tried a few different ZMA's and they all say the same about calcium. Never knew why until now.

    ZMA worth the $$$?

The only encounter with Magnesium was rubbing it into my hand after surgeory. Can't complain seeing I now have full mobility.

If you run a search Jaiman - just about every time someone asks for a list of the 'absolutely essential supplements' - ZMA is the most common on the list.

Speaking personally, while I don't take ZMA, I do use alot of Magnesium. Definciencies in Magnesium and Pottasium can lead to severe cramping. I don't know how big an issue it is for body builders but in endurance sports - it is critical.

If I train on a hot day then go to the pool, I often have trouble completing my first few hundred metres with severe cramping all up my legs. All I need to avoid it is my electrolytes drink which includes magnesium, potassium, sodium and others.
