I think you're right. I saw him at the gym last week and while I didn't discuss the CCI with him, he didn't look close to contest shape. Besides (and I don't want to take anything away from anybody), I think Luke Schembri will be extremely hard to beat.

    2010 CCI Update.

    Hi guys.

Sorry I’ve been offline a bit lately, I’m getting a bit snowed under with CCI and HCAM commitments.
This year’s CCI is looking fantastic!
There are some very competitive classes and our usual entertainment.

    Three important things:

    1. Jordan Hare-Brown.
This year’s show is in loving memory of Jordan Hare-Brown who passed away three weeks after last year’s CCI.
The Men’s Novice class has be renamed the Jordan Hare-Brown Memorial.

There will be a number of small tributes to Jordan during the day, all with the kind permission from his parents who will attend the show along with his partner Nelly who will present the prizes to competitors in this class.
There is a special Memorial Trophy made for the winner which will remain at Dohertys Gym Dandenong and will have the winners name engraved on it each year.

CCI commemorative shirts will be red for this year only and we are encouraging everyone to wear red as this was Jordy’s favourite color.
If you love Jordan then you will enjoy the tributes we have for him.

    2. Breast Cancer Australia.
Once again BCA has been kind enough to allow us to be an official fund raising event for Breast Cancer.
The Masters guys will don the ‘Pink Posing Trunks’ and all sponsorship money for this class goes to BCA.
Naming Rights for the class is $250.
So far Mr Aust and Scott Gobles (via Bioflex) have sponsored the class but naturally we want more.
Email me at info@hcam.com.au if you want to kick in some money.

There will be opportunity for everyone to donate at the show.
Once again you will be able to put dollar notes in the competitors posing trunks during the Men’s Masters posedown.
This was really popular last year, (especially with Tanman!)
There will be pink buckets going through the crowd during the posedown so bring along some loose change and donate generously.

    3. The Iron Mike Memorial Medallion.
Once again Phil Kabakoff has donated a $500 Seiko watch to the winner of this award.
This is a very highly sought after award and the winner is someone who epitomizes the true Aussie bodybuilding spirit.
The winner has been selected by myself and Phil and they fit the criteria perfectly.
This is an important part of our show and recognises the efforts of Hamish Madden (Iron Mike) in providing us with this wonderful forum to chat on.

    Entertainment
Entertainment wise we have AC/DC tribute band ‘Thunderstruck’ opening the show again.
This was really popular last year, the only complaint was that it was too short, so this year they will do three songs instead of two.
There is a “lock-out” when they get onstage, so don’t be late or you will miss out.

Michael Faba is Guest Posing and has prepared a routine to fit in with the day’s theme.
Michael’s routine was considered to be the highlight of the show last year so hopefully he will pull out another magical performance.

    Competitors.
There are some wonderful competitors this year and some very interesting classes.
The Men’s Open is strong with competitors from nearly each State in Australia competing.
There are no Kiwi’s in the Open this year so at last an Aussie will win the title. (NZ have won the last two years).

The Women’s Open Figure looks like being the class of the day with eight competitors entered.
The standard looks very high and the girls will be coming in hard and sharp.
Last year’s winner Di Hunt is attempting to become the first person to win back-to-back CCI titles but she has some strong opposition.
This will be an excellent class.

    After Party.
As always there is an After Party downstairs where you can all chat and mingle with your friends after the show.
Afterwards there are opportunities to go out clubbing or eating at some of the local establishments.
I hope to see many of you after the show for a drink and a chat.

For those who have ordered tickets off me they are all sorted, don’t panic.
I will contact you all soon to confirm numbers.

If you have not purchased tickets yet I would advise you to get them soon as the Capital Theatre has limited seating.
You can contact the Capital Theatre on (03) 5434 6100
Or contact me via my email if you are a competitor wanting to sit next to your friends info@hcam.com.au

A big thanks to all my sponsors, competitors, backstage helpers and officials.
Without you guys there would be no show.

Look forward to seeing you all soon.
    Craig.

Dam, it was a balmy 25 degrees in Brizvegas. I expect to see the monkeys line-up outside the welding shop then.

These times are based loosely on competitor numbers and things such as the Pink Posing trunks, tributes to Jordan, length of judging etc?

There will be a running order backstage and you will get constant updates from the backstage helpers.
A quick show is a good show - we won't be mucking around with unnecessary breaks in the show.

There is no dead time at a CCI show.
There is always something going on and Tony keeps the show rolling along at a nice pace.

Tickets are still available for what looks like being the best CCI ever.
Call the Capital Theatre Bendigo on (03) 5434 6100.

Hope to see you all up there.

I have a feeling Leigh is going to be at the show so his camera is, let's just say it costs more than mine. But I will bring mine just in case. Good thing you reminded me about it so I can put the battery in the charger.
