But one thing the protein man will get and the guy in the photo won't get is VIP tickets to the Australasia next month in Sydney. That is because the SM member in the white t-shirt is Melbourne based. His name is Ian and he is the 2009 CCI intermediate winner.

Aha, so you did notice my maltese friend :).... Well, just like you said there was actually a queue at my stand (first time ever of all the bodybuilding shows I have ever done) and therefore I needed to have someone with me when I transport the cash back to the bank. He actually drove me to the show. You should have seen his car. We needed 4 parking places to park it and not kidding, all along the freeway I could not believe how everyone whenever they were passing us kept looking to see who is driving that monster car (my friend is a very relaxed driver and he didn't rush at all). Looks even more impressive than the Hummer with the 28" wheels.
i wouldnt muck around with him if i seen him walking down the street, sounded humble though, get a photo of the truck julian, keen to see it,

and thanks for organising tix for the australasians, now you need to see if the grahams are going to take 10 years to get them out to the public,

I agree, the detail he had on stage was fucking awsom!

That aint me, I was running a little late to the pre-judging so sat a few rows down from you guys in the dark, I was sitting next to Raja (pleasure to meet and chat with you mate) at the Finals. Great seats for the dance off lol.

Had a great time!! had to take off during break but I got to see the 320kgs Aussie bench record Dam!!

got some great service and samples, the max's guys were great and wasup to Gary at Horley's!, grabbed my RED shirt and I think i had about 4 Ladrada bars during the finals.

keen to see your photos mate,
Definitely. I sat next to Gav for the pre-judging. He was a little quiet but very knowledgeable with his bodybuilding. He was more than happy to answer any questions I had. During Rich Gaspari's selling, I mean seminar, I spent a little time with Jaiman and singlesculler. I went for a walk around the city during the break and when i got back I saw Jaiman sitting on the couch so i went up and had a chat with him, then we went around together and started getting samples of the companies that were there. I bought my $2 Protein Direct bag with a shaker, that works, and a t-shirt. singlesculler joined us after a while then we caught up with MO, minotaur and a couple of others. I sat next to mikasadan during the finals and he was a really nice guy. We had a little chat and got along well.
After the show I had a little chat with MO & co then I left. Jaiman was right behind me and in the end I dropped him off at the station to make life a little easier for him.

I'd have no hesitation in going with those guys again.

now we need to see you melb members in sydney,
Lol, I sat next to Gav for both parts of the show and was subjected to the smell of his chicken and his tupperware. I envy his dedication and wish him all the best. He was a nice guy. You all were. I didn't much of a chance to chat with MO, minotaur or the couple of others that were there. I can't see myself flying to Sydney anytime soon but we'll let you bck in Melbourne any day of the week.

I would have come out after, but I didn't really know what you guys planned. Kinda stood there for a bit, lol, and then rajah left so I thought :s I better go too.. Just incase you guys didn't wanna chill with the young fella (not calling you old)

    Haha,
MO, how much you charge for a training sesh?

I made a commitment tonight, am going to sort it all out over the next couple days. To compete in 2012! 2 years away I reckon I could progress hugely. Im really going to have everthing down to the last .00001 gram and rep!

Well guys, so much to say. Those 24 hours in Melbourne felt like 3 days. Absolutely non-stop action. I come back home to explain my time in Melbourne and have to think hard, "shit, was that only yesterday?"

But to sum it all up, this is what it is all about. Putting faces to names and making new mates with a group of people who share the same interests. Thankyou to each of you for making the effort to plan for this weekend and getting yourself a ticket well in advance before we even knew who the bloody hell was going to be there! That alone says alot, and for that, you were all looked after as the show came together and Mr. Doherty worked his magic as he always does.

Next year will be even bigger...literally! 2 day event much like the Arnold and Olympia where 2 halls are already booked. One purely for supplement companies, strongman event (deadlift, bench, squat) and the pro's guest posing on the hour every hour. The other hall is where battle will take place. So i really hope to see you all next year plus a few more others reading on only now knowing what they had missed out on...the best bodybuilding comp i have ever attended!

So much to say about the show when seating was as good as ours. Melvin coming out and posed right infront of us sm.com.au guys along with Dexter Jackson also.
A public apology to Mikasdan who i spent the least speaking to at the show. The circumstances were difficult mate. Being out of seats at the pre-judging, you had to find a seat some where on your own and then at the finals you were on the other side of the row we were in but was hoping to make up for it when the show had finished but as the lights came on and took in the atmosphere of the closing night, i could not see you. You must have left as soon as the show was done.

A late decision was made to eat out somewhere after the show so pretty much the guys that were still hanging around when we finally decided what to do, were the ones that came along - Mino, C_T, Joey, Chris250.

To the others, Rajah, Jaiman and Singlesculler, awesome blokes and great meeting you. Gav, recognised you straight away from last year, plessure to see you again also mate.
GTO - always exciting to bump into you. I get out my notepad and pen and take down notes as this guy speaks, lol. Learn something new everytime with you, mate.
I will see you again in a couple of weeks. I will find the time to drive down to your gym in my hire car.
Julian/PD, lucky you were busy and cut our conversations "short" or we could have potentially missed our flight the next morning if you had nothing better to do!
Don't worry, we will talk lots (well, YOU will talk lot's while we try our hardest to try and find a pause inbetween your stories so that we can get a few words in, lol! You know i'm joking!) and you can tell us more of your stories over a meal after the Australasia next month - anyone attending, come join us!

I hope you all had a good time for what Tony put on - how can you not when with a promotor like that, you get a comedian and a slight preview of what the new years fireworks are going to be like coming into 2011! LOL - anyone see Wong Hong shit himself as the fireworks went off? Hahaha...Tony mate, you almost had him running back home to Malaysia! LOL!

I know i've missed alot here, i could type quite a number of stories here actually, but wouldn't want to embarrass any of the members here, lol. What happens in Melbourne, stays in Melbourne

Lastly, and he's heard it about a thousand times by now, but there really is nothing that can be typed to try and tell you how lucky we are to have Tony doing this for us here in Australia. We are on the bodybuilding map because of this guy. We get to see these guys from overseas because of his tireless efforts on the phone and emails everyday. That show exists because of this guy. How much it says about him when the Australian Pro Show is the 3rd longest running Pro Show in the world. The first 2 are the Arnold Classic and the Mr. Olympia! Quick notes, the new venue will make show organisers over in the US cringe with envy but not only that, but the fact that one of the best line-ups ever produced outside the Olympia and about on par with the Arnold was done AWAY from America, overseas in a painful long journey to Australia so far away from home for these guys.
Ask yourself, why does Kai Greene have the need to do the Aus Pro after collecting over $150,000 worth in cash and prizes only a week ago?
Why does someone like Dexter Jackson who is a Mr. Olympia even have the need to be here knowing damn well his chances of beating Kai for that 1st place were extremely slim?

That's the magic of our Australian promotor of bodybuilding here, guys! He's the reason why they come here to possibly not even place or get any prize money. Because of the 5 star treatment they get from the second they step off the plane.
Just a slight idea and only the tip of the iceberg here, but Tony had 65kg's of meat for these guys only 2 days before the show. By show day, that was all gone.

So any thanks or praise should go to that man, not me.

Thanks for coming and please come again next year plus some new faces! We'll get in nice and early again and no doubt Tony will look after our seating upfront.

    Thankyou!

Just a quick one because my son has used up all 50mb allowance (watching Thomas the tank engine clips on you tube).
-that photo definitely doesn't do justice to Lucky's legs but that was the only one I had
-mino, that guy is one of the most sincere and genuine guys I have ever met. He is also a super tough guy as you realised He is very respectful and he only has a simple motto: he will treat you in the best possible way but you must never cross him because with him there are no second chances. I'll try and get a photo of the car but not sure when I can do it because tomorrow his car is going in for a service and so is mine
-and lastly: my apologies to any SM member I may seem to have "ignored". That was certainly not my intention, it's just that I had a very busy day and there was also a couple of incidents that really ticked me off but the incidents had nothing to do with you guys, but nevertheless put a dint in what otherwise would have been a perfect day for me.
