oww if only these next 2 were in focus :( i was a bit shell shocked
i blame the iphone, those shots were priceless. and i was in my seat!
So for those of you that also watched the amateurs, was I right or was I right about Lucky's legs?
Also what about our own Mick_540??? The guy looked awesome at his age and especially when you take into account he also has a wife and kids to look after. Great effort Mick and well done.
And of course let's not forget to congratulate TD for putting on a magnificent show.

Holy Shit YES!!! Lucky was absolutely UNBELIEVABLE! Amazing physique and excellent presentation. He is obviously well practiced with his poses and it was a pleasure to watch him on stage. Seemed to have a slight sense of humor as well. (pretending to try and push his brand new $5000 tv across the stage :P lol)
This was my first comp that i went to and it really was great. I have even been given the fever and am planning on competing in the near future :) Country classic depending on how things go. And thanks to MO for the little bit of encouragement.
Also props to TD for the excellent organization before and during the show and for being a great MC. Wouldn't have happened without him.
Train how you plan to race.
well where do i start,
first up,was a pleasure meeting some of the sm members, and thanks for coming down and making the experience even better as i feel that we all got along so good and we should do it again, leaving all our sm politics aside, all members i found to be very humble, having c_t,gav and chris250 next to me was great as we would constantly sit there commenting on the competitors and guess the placings,
thanks again guys, gav keep at it with that tuna and sweet potato mate, you missed me going at my labrada double choc peanut butter bars, mmmmmmm.lol
comp started with the prejudging of the pro's,first and second place was sorted right away, third place was a tough one and the switching of the competitors dragged on for like 10-15min just between 3 guys, mike kefalianos, should of had that 3rd place, more to that later,
then it was time for rich gaspari seminar, personally been a big fan of his,i was turned right off, been his seminar,i thought he would of said some inspiring stuff in regards to competing, comps from back in his days, his experiences, maybe some old timer stories about him and the other competitors?maybe saomething about arnold?but NO, it was all about superpump and size on,bloody bullshit,
so decided to walk out for a bit and get some fresh air and get a chance to meet gto who i found to be also a very inspiring sm member and personal trainer/gym owner, gto thanks so much for your kind your and for lecturing me on what i need to do to get on stage next time to really be impressive,
then it came to the amatuers,
as pd mentioned, our sm member mick_540 took first place against michael grigoriou, and as pd described, for a man with a family,i dont know where he finds the time to maintain his physique, but he is truly inspirational, good on ya mick,
novice had about 8-10 competitors, was truly novice competitors and they all did well, the fact that there up there trying is all that counts,
the classics had a big line up,i think around 8 competitors, there was about 3 great physiques in there,
under 90kg was 3 competitors, lucky hatzipantelis took 1st place, unbelievable physique,he really was stunning, julian your right, those legs were seperated in ways you wouldnt think, this guy needs a pro card next time round i reckon,
then we had the over 90kg,there were 2 competitors in this division,my friend chris jenkins otherwise known as bigguy86 on other forums, took 1st place,he looked great, but still reckon he could dry up more and get more out, been his second comp,i see him going a long way,he will be competiting in sydney in 5 weeks at australasians, hope to see him more drier this time round,
for the womens bodybuilding division, been only 1 competitor,it was still inspirational as she looked amazing and has been doing bodybuilding and competing for well over 20 odd years, tony said some real inspirational words in regards to this and you could tell that it really touched her and the crowd,
for the womens figure, there were 4 competitors, all looked stunning, one of them was 40 yr old and looked younger then all of them, looked like a copy of rosa,
then there was the strongman comp,me been tired of an early flight i had, decided strongman wasnt my thing so i decided to leave and head for my apartment to get some (rest),and boy what a good resting period it was,got to love melbourne, julian, sorry i didnt get a chance to catch up then and there, saw massive line ups at your stand and knew it wasnt the time for a chat, but was great seeing you and speking to you after the show, april here we come mate.
came to 7pm and was back for the finals of the pro's,you could see that some minor tweaking was done to some of the pro's and there conditions were far more better, even ivan sadek been so smooth and watery in the prejudging,he had more seperation in him in the night show, pity though,
i was dissapointed to see mike kef take 4th, i know it was a tough decision, but he needed that 3rd place i reckon,oh well, wha can you do,im sure outlaw would agree on this,
last of all,big thank you to tony doherty, his team and the great line up of competitors, this show wouldnt be if it wasnt for themit has really psyched me up now for me to compete again but wont be till end of 2011 or start of 2012,see how things come along,
and mo,thanks for organising those tickets, mate best view in the house, loved it,
if ive missed on anyone,i havent forgotten, its simply cause of no rest and early flight i had again,
Here's a pick of Lucky's legs. Arghhh....the light wasn't that great And for the record, he is not sponsored by me but by Horleys.
And in a world first, here's an SM member wearing the world's first white ProteinDirect T-shirt :)

that photo really doesnt justify to the real deal in person,
which sm member is that?is it mikasadan?and that white shirt looks awesome, not even the protein man has a white one,
and mikasadan?where the hell were you mate?lol
oh and julian, mate, who was that maltese mafia with you?is that protein direct security?lol
Hey thanks Mino and ProteinDirect. It was hard work this time, I didn't get a single day off work, worked right up to 4.45pm friday under some serious stress. Missed a few cardio sessions along the way but managed to get in the best shape I ever been in. 21 weeks until CCI ...
are they any pics of mick?
yeah got along really well with everyone. made a great weekend, thanks everyone
There was not white t-shirt for the protein man because the white t-shirts only came in the XL size, but after seeing the protein man in Melbourne, I think the protein man is now ready for the XL size.
But one thing the protein man will get and the guy in the photo won't get is VIP tickets to the Australasia next month in Sydney. That is because the SM member in the white t-shirt is Melbourne based. His name is Ian and he is the 2009 CCI intermediate winner.
Aha, so you did notice my maltese friend :).... Well, just like you said there was actually a queue at my stand (first time ever of all the bodybuilding shows I have ever done) and therefore I needed to have someone with me when I transport the cash back to the bank. He actually drove me to the show. You should have seen his car. We needed 4 parking places to park it and not kidding, all along the freeway I could not believe how everyone whenever they were passing us kept looking to see who is driving that monster car (my friend is a very relaxed driver and he didn't rush at all). Looks even more impressive than the Hummer with the 28" wheels.
:o!!! I WANT A WHITE ONE!
