When will it be a club with food and a larger area for competitors backstage.
RSL and Leagues club work in Qld and NSW, Melbourne has a different flow and theatre style venues seem to work better here. DBC costs about 10K per day (Leagues clubs only about 2k) and is a fantastic hall for bb, the pros love and overall, the fans seem to love it. For me it is the spiritual home of bb in Melbourne.
Personally I don't like flat auditoriums with tables for shows, hard to see and lack atmosphere.

Backstage has always worked for us at DBC.

So this must be the reason why the IFBB shows in Victoria are the most expensive when compared to say NSW, QLD etc. Because I signed up to be at every one of this legendary appearances of Ronnie Coleman (NT, QLD and NSW) except VIC. I would really like to make this complete and be at every single show (including VIC) but right now it's a little out of my price range

Now don't get me wrong, TD puts together some great shows and I'd love to be there but my budget can only afford so much. Hopefully the greatest Victorian bodybuilding contest organiser may find a way for PD to have a stand there

Just want to say that when Graeme was competing at the Melbourne show we found that the show on a whole was run really smoothly (much to do with the really helpful Doherty's staff) and the venue (Dallas Brooks) was perfect, particularly the backstage area for us to get him ready.

I was at the centre with Graeme all day and the atmosphere built as the day went on. It was a job really well done by Tony and his staff and I will be back in Melbourne for Oct show!!

I also was in Sydney and I have to admit it lacked the same atmosphere. Not to take away from the competitors/staff or paul and Carole who were great to us but I loved the arena/theatre style of the Melb show. I don't mind paying more because really these guys and girls are busting ass for up to 20 weeks to get ready and I feel it's giving back to the BB'ing community that I love and want to see flourish here

    :)

I'll order them all for you guys so that we're all on the same table.

There is yet an official poster to be released as it is over a saturday and sunday, 2 day event, so im guessing as always, there will be information as to what events are being held on what days.
From experiance of attendance, the Sundays have been where all the big boys compete, so im thinking Sunday if Sydney is ok with that?

Not sure if you're joking or not, but take charge by all means.
A Melbourne representative would be good.
You guys should do the same thing and get together down there.

Nah i'm not joking MO. :) I really want to go see a comp, and even better be with the guys who know all about it.

Question for anyone who knows: Do we have to pay for this event, and if so, how much.

    Thanks
