    Perth 2009 ifbb elite show

28th March 2009 - Penrhos College, Morrison Street Como.

Still waiting on a poster and competitor list but so far, 26 Australian title holders have said they are competing, with 80 going up on stage. NO word on any guest poses last year impromtu Moe pose.

Looks like it is going to be a big show, and being so close to Melb show i would expect a large Vic contingent also.

As details come along i will post what i find.

    Poster supplied.

A couple of "surprise" entrants in the Men's Elite class too.
    Expect an unexpected winner.

I hope these guys do a better job that the Natural Olympia, that show was disappointing, great athletes but the organization and promotion was crap! Needless to say when I sent my views to some sites they didn’t post them!!!!!!!

    Might check this one out!

Last years elite was a shit orgainsed cock up. Had the chance to be good, some top comptitors but man it dragged on talking like 10am until 7pm and constantly an hour behind.

They need to get themselves together like the NABBA show.

That being said promises to be a great show this year I reckon.

There are plenty of rumours flying around but it would appear that there are around 8 competitors for the Elite Men and around 60-70 all up for the show.

Spilt shows are always long days, I'm not a fan of them, but it is an IFBB tradition, every State does it.
Mike is a hard worker and is easily the the most generous promoter in Australia by far.
I wish him all the best for the show.

Gabi and Chris Duff going but i think gabi only competing in the figure class, watch out for her, she got 4th in Arnold classic amateur last year one of my favorites " and Sarah "Pocket rocket" i think doing it too. and if any one remember the under 75kg in the ifbb national Tony sadati if he comes in a good condition he will hae a big chance of doing gr8 damage in the mens open.

They have all the usual categories on the day, just that the open men is pretty serious. They do allow the winners of the other categories to come up and pose with the "elite" in the finals.

Personally i found this show ran really bad last year and was hugely dragged out. Hope they change the format this year.

cut and paste from another forum................

Just to let everyone know that the X-Man Toney Freeman is the special Guest Poser at the Elite show this week in Perth.
Mike O'Mara has once again put his money where his mouth is and has paid for Toney to come over to Perth and Guest Pose at his show.

Ticket prices are still the same and Toney is in Perth right now waiting to get on stage.
For those of you who were thinking of going then this should be enough to convince you to support Mike's show.
Toney will be signing autographs as well, so if you want to meet one of the worlds best Pro bodybuilders then here's your chance.

Well done to Mike and best of luck to all the competitors.
