I've been meaning to say congratz for a long time and just now remember I didn't do it. 325kg!!! That's over 700lbs. Isn't it amazing though, such a great record, a national record and it went almost unnoticed. All I can say is once again well done to Shaun.
In his bio it says he once competed in a competition at the age of 14 where he had to benchpress as many times as he could half his body weight and he did that 45 times. I remember once competing in a similar contest where we had to benchpress our own bodyweight as many times as we could. They split us into 2 classes: over 75kg and over 75kg. I was in the over 75kg (weighing 8okg) and I won with 24 reps. The winner in the under 75kg won with 36 reps. Hmm...time passes. That contest was held when the Palais Theatre still existed in St Kilda (for those in Melbourne). Nobody sponsored me in those days so I had to start my own supplement company.
Anyway, I am a long way off the 700lb mark.
