    This Forums specialist members..

    Let me try to explain.

Every forum I'm a member of, seems to have a couple or at least 1 absolute "GURU" so to speak on the main topic of what the forum/community is about.

    So who are they here??

who would you say are the guru's for...

    DIET & Nutrition
covering types of food, when best to eat, how much to eat, which vitamins are required for what...etc...

    EXERCISE
what works best for size... eg, squats are better than leg extention.. oh der!! right.. but I wouldn't have known that at the begining.. and I'm sure that there are still exercises that I do that could be replaced with something better..

    WEIGHT LOSS/CUTTING
I guess this is combo of the above 2 but maybe there are things that some know that others don't.

I am asking this for my own benefit really.... and other's can also benefit from it..

My own reason is pretty simple..
    3/12/2005 is my wedding day.
I plan to be in ripped shape for it. just for my own want/need.
I know it's a year away, but I'd like to plan how I go about it..
I decided not to trim for this summer so have some tummy fat, but I wouldn't call it a GUT...
however, I wish to grow until like mid winter, then keep as much strength and muscle size while I shred some fat and look like a cover model... hahahah.. even if it is only for a week.. (honeymoon week) hahahahahaha

    so..

    who are the guru's?

well it's a difficult question to answer- there are several members on this forum with an incredible depth of knowledge. however in my mind, jesper and monsta stand out because of their amazingly professional and logical approachs to dealing with those sorts of questions- nutrition and training respectively.

it's not just their knowledge which makes me think of them, but also the way they deal with inquiries and sort out the basic sections of the questions before tackling the harder parts etc etc.

I would also add that if you throw some questions about, generally the majority seems to have a pretty good idea of what to do.

I consider myself no guru, but have helped quite a few people (not only on the boards).

It doesnt take long to learn ANYTHING around here!

for sure; i think this forum is better than most books in that it presents a wide range of opinions and takes on matters which enable the inquirer to raelly make their own informed decision and find what works for them.

definitely has a huge wealth of knowledge- and you're right...while there are some chaps with outsanding levels of education in this area....it's the communal aspect that really makes the advice on this forum worthwhile in my opinion..

yeah I agree. I've been playing around with diets and training methods for a while now but have learnt a lot of good tips since joining this forum.

Its great to have a group of like minded poeple to bounce things off :)
