    Cheers Rem!

Minor setback today. Completed a great session for back and went straight into legs, 1st up was leg extensions for 3 sets, just to get the quads warmed up, then did 3 sets on Hack squats. The last set of the Hacks my back felt a pinch as my back came off slightly from the support due to excessive sweat. I stopped accessed and decided to give lying leg curls a go but the pain told me to stop. I'll take it easy and see how it comes up in the morning. I've decided to take the next few days off at least. Hopefully all will be ok, and the short break will be a good thing.

Ok, first day back after a week break to rest my back from the injury. The break did a load of good, good time to refocus. The first session in was bi's and tri's - felt really good and strong. I kept the intensity, pace and poundage at around 80% of the norm - so took it easy, concentrated on form and contraction. Even with all the experience I have had, the past week was a big reminder that safety is the number one priority. Looking forward to getting back to 100% - will take my time and ensure I'm fully recovered.

Here are some pics. I'm into the 10th month of the rebuild. Feeling very positive with continued overall growth. I've added more thickness and quality in all major muscle groups and at the same time keeping an eye on balance and separation. The vascularity has also improved and appearing in areas that haven't shown for years. Still in recovery mode from that back injury a couple of weeks ago, so working on good form with moderate poundages - the strength is slowly on the up again. Looking forward to the xmas break and getting back to it for the next phase of the rebuild - the fun stuff.

I've reached the set goal weight of 100kg just in time for xmas. I have a few more sessions before the break - so will take it easy. It's been a great first year back in training, the body has incredibly transformed. A few lessons learnt along the way but it's all positive. As far as I have progressed there is still a long way to go, so with a bit of sweat and determination I'm looking forward to what can be achieved next year.

Cheers Bro! Yes mate, feels great to achieve that goal weight, I haven't been this weight since my mid twenties, still got a lot of work to do - more size, more thickness, separation and quality - but that's the whole fun of it - the journey rather than the destination.

Quick update: Started off the year really strong and solid with weight peak of 102kg. Currently I'm looking at stabilizing in the mid to high nineties as this personally presents a much more impressive harder physique. For the time being I've incorporated some cardio via stationery cycle and cleaned up the diet slightly and I'm reducing the carbs. Also in training, a little more extra attention on bringing out the details in the hammys, abdominals and erectors (which will help complete the look I'm aiming for). The muscle size is still on the up throughout - so will try and maintain that weight and get more vascularity, hardness, quality and detail.

Around the mid 90s now. The new streamlined look is coming along great with added detail and vascularity. The waistline has trimmed down a couple inches and beginning to take good shape/detail, the intercostal's are starting to happen. Strength is still at the same level and the cardio is giving me extra energy with the weights. I've revised the diet further by cutting down on the meals and portions. I've cut back further on the carbs, upped the protein and have completely taken out the oats. The water intake has also increased. The body may not look as swollen as previously but when the shirt comes off it's beginning to 'scream' condition. Everything is coming along nicely.

Thanks Mino. I'll try post some pics in a month or so, allow for more visible improvements. I've had a few guys comment on me competing again, and I really can't answer that one at this stage. Yes, I've made good progress the past year, but to compete you really need to take your body to that next level, and honestly, I still believe I have a long way to go before I'd even consider stepping on that stage. In the meantime I feel grateful that I'm still able to will my body to change with relative ease.
